She had been too shocked just moments ago to get a good look at him, but now that she had, Mikoto was startled. She knew of the famous powerhouses in the Uchiha Clan.
Uchiha Akito was one of the strongest members of the Uchiha Clan, and Mikoto had never expected them to send someone like him to deal with them.
Though Mikoto knew how powerful Shin had become over the past six months or so, she couldn't help worrying about him facing such a renowned fighter.
"Don't worry! If I really wanted to kill him, it would only take a moment."
Shin reassured the worried Mikoto.
He was telling the truth. It was easy to take down an elite Jonin who knew nothing about him.
He was confident he could even kill a Kage Level fighter with a surprise attack, let alone an elite Jonin.
"This is the first time I've truly shown my strength in front of someone else. I hope you won't disappoint me."
"Light Speed Kick!"
Shin's lower leg turned into photons, then shot forward at the speed of light. A thick, golden beam struck Uchiha Akito.
"Boom!"
After a deafening explosion, Uchiha Akito was sent flying hundreds of meters, smashing through who knew how many trees.
The Light Speed Kick was simply too fast. Uchiha Akito had only sensed the danger and instinctively used all his strength to protect himself, but he was still badly injured and collapsed to the ground.

He was about to kill someone, and he didn't want Mikoto to see it.
Mikoto obediently nodded in silence, then said softly, "Be careful. Please don't get hurt."
"Don't worry." Shin chuckled, then turned into a beam of light and appeared in front of Uchiha Akito in the blink of an eye.
For moving short distances, the Glint-Glint Fruit was even more useful than spatial abilities.
"I didn't expect a brat like you to be this strong."
"You sure talk a lot. Shigan: Light Bullet!"
Shin thrust out all ten fingers, firing one light bullet after another. The ability was much like Shikotsumyaku.
Unable to move, Uchiha Akito was riddled with bullets across one side of his body, leaving dozens of bloody holes.
"Ahhh!" Uchiha Akito screamed.
Shin had deliberately avoided his vital organs, so Uchiha Akito was still alive, though barely. Even if Shin turned and walked away right now, Uchiha Akito would bleed to death.
"Do you want to torture me and then force the information out of me? Don't even think about it." Sweat covered Uchiha Akito's forehead as he looked at Shin mockingly. The Three-Tomoe Sharingan in his eyes spun wildly.
"Still trying to fight back? Pointless." Shin looked straight into the Three-Tomoe Sharingan without the slightest change in expression.
"Most genjutsu won't work on me. You should give up," Shin said calmly as he watched Uchiha Akito struggle on the verge of death.
The genjutsu would have to be at least as powerful as Tsukuyomi to ensnare Shin.
Chapter 32: Genjutsu: Terror Reincarnation, Mangekyō Sharingan
"Just kill me!"
Uchiha Akito had accepted his fate. Since he couldn't do anything to Shin, he might as well beg for death.
"You think you can die that easily? I was going to use you to hone my combat skills, but you're so useless that you've disappointed me."
"It would be a waste to let you die without being of any use."
Shin's expression was icy. His eyes shone like stars, yet they were utterly cold.
"Your Uchiha Clan is best known for genjutsu and Fire Release. Now, let's see how you like the genjutsu I created! Demonic Illusion: Terror Reincarnation!"
In an instant, Uchiha Akito appeared in another space. All his injuries had healed, but his strength was gone.
Uchiha Akito's face turned grim. He knew he had fallen into a genjutsu, but he couldn't sense chakra at all. He had no way to disrupt his chakra and break free.
Could this be a genjutsu cast through an ocular technique? Just as Uchiha Akito wondered, a figure approached from behind him.
A chill ran through Uchiha Akito. He hurriedly turned around and saw a floating head, its eyes rolled back and its face horribly twisted, staring at him with hateful eyes.
"Heh heh heh."
"Ahhh! What the hell is that?"
Uchiha Akito had seen death countless times, but this genuinely terrified him. He had never seen anything so horrifying.
"That was only an appetizer, and you can't even handle it? The real Terror Reincarnation is only just beginning." A malicious voice came from the floating head.
The scenery continued to shift, and every horror movie Shin had ever seen appeared before Uchiha Akito, one by one. Each scenario repeated ten times before moving on to the next.
Every story ended with Uchiha Akito's death. He experienced every kind of death imaginable.
Uchiha Akito had no idea how much time passed in the illusion, but outside, only a second had gone by.
