Water Style: Spit Jutsu!?

So in their minds, the whole story was that Danzo had disliked the Uchiha Clan and killed one of its members.

A rabid dog like Danzo was absolutely capable of doing something like that.

But Danzo wielded great power. Unless they had conclusive evidence, they would never dare say it aloud and offend him.

"Bam!"

"What did you say? Uchiha Akito is missing?" Uchiha Tei slammed his hand on the table and sprang to his feet, speaking furiously.

"That's right. We couldn't find Uchiha Akito."

"Danzo! It had to be that old dog, Danzo. He's been unhappy with the Uchiha Clan for a long time, constantly suppressing us. He definitely did this. The traces at the scene don't lie."

Uchiha Tei clenched his teeth in fury. If the dead man had been some weak clan ninja, that would have been one thing. But Uchiha Akito was a pillar of their clan.

"We can't let this go. Shimura Danzō, just you wait!" In his anger, Uchiha Tei's Three-Tomoe Sharingan appeared.

"Clan leader, what about that brat Hyuga Shin and that traitor Mikoto Uchiha? Should we still—"

"Forget them for now. You may leave. I'm going to demand an explanation from Sarutobi Hiruzen."

Uchiha Tei didn't even use the Hokage's title. He addressed Sarutobi Hiruzen by name.

After leaving the Uchiha Clan, Uchiha Tei stormed over to the Hokage Building. After a heated argument, the two parted on bad terms.

After Uchiha Tei left, Sarutobi Hiruzen sighed, a trace of worry on his face.

"Danzo, Danzo! Look at the mess you've made."

Uchiha Tei had just demanded that Sarutobi Hiruzen hand Danzo over. But Sarutobi Hiruzen, who was closer to Danzo than to his own father, naturally refused, and the two argued endlessly.

In the end, Sarutobi Hiruzen paid a price: he allowed the Uchiha Clan to take charge of an Anbu squad. Only then did Uchiha Tei leave.

Though Uchiha Tei was still dissatisfied, Sarutobi Hiruzen had made it clear there was no room for negotiation, so he could only grudgingly accept these paltry benefits.

That was the end of the matter. Danzo had taken the blame for Hyuga Shin.

Sarutobi Hiruzen even warned Danzo to keep a low profile for the time being. After that, he paid no more attention to Danzo, whose face had turned utterly black.

"Investigate this! I want to know who dared pin this on me!" Danzo roared.

He was the dignified Hokage's aide, the most powerful man in all of Konoha aside from Sarutobi Hiruzen. And someone had dumped this blame on him.

Danzo couldn't stand for that.

But even if he turned all of Konoha upside down, he still wouldn't find the culprit, because no one would ever suspect Hyuga Shin.

Even Uchiha Tei had never suspected Hyuga Shin. Why? Because of his age.

By common sense, a child of just over five killing an elite Jonin was utterly impossible. Even a quasi-Kage would find it extremely difficult to kill an elite Jonin.

Only someone at Kage Level could take down an elite Jonin quickly. Could a little kid possibly be at Kage Level?

They had no idea that Hyuga Shin was a cheat from the start. He had already become a Jonin at such a young age, and challenging opponents above his rank was as easy as eating and drinking.

And so Danzo took the blame for Hyuga Shin, making the relationship between the Uchiha Clan and Konoha even worse.

As far as the Uchiha Clan was concerned, Konoha didn't treat them like human beings. Their hearts had grown bitter with disappointment.

Hyuga Shin paid none of this any mind. He had intended to frame Danzo all along. Danzo hadn't even provoked him, but Hyuga Shin simply couldn't stand him and wanted to make trouble for him.

After having a picnic with Mikoto and spending some time out together, he went home.

It was already evening when they got back. Mikoto went to prepare dinner, while Hyuga Shin shut himself in his room.

He took out the two Sharingan eyes stored in saline solution. By now, both had reverted to their Three-Tomoe state.

"I wonder what abilities these two Sharingan have. Still, they don't seem to be of much use to me."

The Mangekyō Sharingan was an immense temptation to others, but to Hyuga Shin, it wasn't even worth the trouble.

With the Tenseigan, he didn't care about the Mangekyō Sharingan, let alone the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

"The Tenseigan can control puppets. Maybe that'll come in handy someday."

Hyuga Shin hadn't forgotten the Tenseigan's ability to control puppets. It could leave Sunagakure's puppeteers crying in despair.

Hyuga Shin was still very curious about the abilities of these Mangekyō Sharingan. After all, almost every pair had different abilities, and some of those ocular techniques were absurdly powerful.

Chapter 34: Water Style: Spit Jutsu!?

The most absurd ocular techniques born from the Mangekyō belonged to Uchiha Shisui and Obito. One could alter another person's will, while the other had spatial abilities. Both were incredibly overpowered.

"I wonder if I can find out what these Mangekyō Sharingan can do through the system." Hyuga Shin acted as soon as the thought crossed his mind and went straight to the System Space.

He didn't call for the system. Instead, he opened his own status panel and found the Mangekyō Sharingan under the equipment category.

"Sure enough, it's there. I didn't expect it to be listed as equipment, but I suppose that makes sense. The Mangekyō Sharingan isn't exactly one of my abilities."

He tapped the Mangekyō Sharingan, then found a line of tiny text at the very bottom. It was so small that he would have missed it if he hadn't looked closely.

He had discovered it by chance. The tiny text read, "System Introduction."

Hyuga Shin didn't know why the system had made those four characters so small. If he hadn't had sharp eyes and noticed them by chance, he might never have known the system had this feature.

After he opened the system introduction, a line of text appeared, describing the abilities of these Mangekyō Sharingan.

One of them was Amaterasu. Seeing that ocular technique, Hyuga Shin wanted to complain.

It had an impressive reputation, hailed as "the strongest physical attack" and "an inescapable attack."

But its track record was rather shocking: it had never killed anyone. It was downright embarrassing and a disgrace to its reputation.

The other ability was even more impressive.

Phantom Body: Creates an undetectable phantom body with eighty percent of the original's strength. The phantom body can also switch places with the original during battle.

This could be called a god-tier ability. Its only drawback was that it consumed too much chakra. Once the chakra ran out, the phantom body would disappear.

After reading the description, Hyuga Shin left the System Space. Mikoto would be done cooking soon, and if he didn't go out, she would start to worry.

After dinner, to Hyuga Shin's surprise, Mikoto went back to her room to train.

"Mikoto's always trained hard, but she's never been this dedicated," Hyuga Shin said in surprise.

He had no idea that seeing how powerful he was had shaken Mikoto. She wanted to train hard and catch up with him.
