Ch. 1863West Creek Continent

Akatsuki crossed from Central River Continent to West Creek Continent using Lin Chuan’s Yomotsu Hirasaka, prompting three Central River princes to plan to pursue them through an intercontinental passage. After the group arrived, they secured the area and Lin Chuan began recovering, where he encountered a butterfly he recognized as a companion divine beast of West Creek Continent.

  • Prince An, Prince Jin, and Prince Cheng discovered that Akatsuki had opened a spatial passage to West Creek Continent, and Prince Jin identified Azure Dragon’s Yomotsu Hirasaka as the means.
  • Prince Jin argued that the princes should open an intercontinental passage to Southern Bright Continent to seize Moonlit, despite other sects obstructing them.
  • Lin Chuan and the other Akatsuki members emerged from a silver spatial vortex in West Creek Continent, where Bu Lianshi used the Control Domain and World Suppressing Disk to stabilize and seal the area.
  • Qin Lang trapped five Fusion Stage cultivators who had witnessed Akatsuki’s arrival with Evil-Slaying Divine Thunder.
  • Lin Chuan told Xiao Heng that crossing continents had exhausted his spiritual energy and left him unable to use Yomotsu Hirasaka again for a while.
  • As Lin Chuan rested beneath a tree, a butterfly landed on his finger, and he greeted it as a companion divine beast of West Creek Continent.

Ch. 1864Jade Butterfly

Lin Chuan encountered West Creek Continent’s companion divine beast, Jade Butterfly, and recovered while his companions discussed its power. He decided to send a clone to find Mu Bai and learn where to search for Origin Grass, while Jade Butterfly chose to accompany the Supreme Purity Clone to Heaven One Sword Sect.

  • Jade Butterfly appeared without anyone sensing it, ignored Lin Chuan’s request for help, and settled on his shoulder.
  • Shui Mochan explained that Jade Butterfly could unleash immense power on West Creek Continent, while Azure Dragon would be stronger on Southern Bright Continent but was not a true companion divine beast.
  • After recovering with pills, Lin Chuan decided they needed to find Mu Bai to learn the origin of the stone that contained Origin Grass.
  • Lin Chuan used the One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones Technique to create three bodies, and Jade Butterfly chose the Supreme Purity Clone.
  • Lin Chuan told his companions to wait in a secluded place while he went to Heaven One Sword Sect.

Ch. 1865Shadow

Lin Chuan traveled toward a Heaven One Sword Sect outpost while the [Akatsuki] members searched for the Origin Grass. They found a vast, eerie shadow that harmed Bu Lianshi’s perception, and discovered the surrounding area was nearly devoid of cultivators and spirit beasts.

  • Lin Chuan headed southeast toward a Heaven One Sword Sect outpost, following the direction of the Flying Thunder God Formula and gathering information as he traveled.
  • Zero Burial and the [Akatsuki] members used the Heaven-Measuring Ruler to seek the Origin Grass, despite its indication that Zero Burial had almost no chance of obtaining it alone.
  • Zero Burial led the group toward a strange shadow stretching across the horizon, and Bu Lianshi sensed bloody mist and ghostly cries before her perception affected her mind.
  • Mu Yuyi found no cultivators within several hundred li, so Zero Burial ordered the group to retreat and look for local cultivators to question.
  • The group found almost no cultivators or spirit beasts nearby, and Zero Burial suspected the shadow was where the Heaven-Measuring Ruler pointed.

Ch. 1866Chaotic Soul Abyss

Zero Burial and the others questioned the Radiant Mountain Sect's ancestor about the Chaotic Soul Abyss and learned that the Heaven One Sword Sect had once entered it. The ancestor revealed that Mu Yunshang, a Tribulation Transcendence cultivator, had never been seen since that expedition.

  • Bu Lianshi sealed off communications as Xiao Heng brought the group to the Radiant Mountain Sect, where Zero Burial drained the ancestor's spiritual energy and questioned him.
  • The ancestor explained that the Chaotic Soul Abyss's formation and mind-disturbing red mist had driven cultivators away from the surrounding region.
  • Zero Burial asked whether the Heaven One Sword Sect had entered the abyss, and the ancestor said its cultivators had gone inside more than eighty years earlier during a red-mist outbreak.
  • The ancestor recounted that the Heaven One Sword Sect later failed to reopen the abyss and eventually abandoned its exploration.
  • The ancestor revealed that Mu Yunshang had not been seen since the Heaven One Sword Sect's first expedition into the Chaotic Soul Abyss.

Ch. 1867The Secret

Zero Burial’s group learned that Mu Yunshang, Mu Bai’s great-grandfather, had likely died after entering the Chaotic Soul Abyss. Lin Chuan reached West Creek Continent and met Mu Bai, leaving him startled by Lin Chuan’s arrival and concerned when Lin Chuan asked about the abyss.

  • Zero Burial’s group heard that Heaven One Sword Sect elder Mu Yunshang had vanished over eighty years ago and was believed to have entered the Chaotic Soul Abyss.
  • Jade Maiden confirmed that Great Sound Pavilion had found no trace of Mu Yunshang and revealed he was Mu Bai’s great-grandfather.
  • Lin Chuan arrived at Heaven One Sword Sect’s southeastern base and sent Mu Bai a message with the black jade immortal bone.
  • Mu Bai abandoned his lecture, traveled to Lin Chuan’s location, and was shocked to find him on West Creek Continent.
  • Lin Chuan told Mu Bai he wanted information about the Chaotic Soul Abyss, and Mu Bai’s expression changed.

Ch. 1868What the heck

Lin Chuan asked Mu Bai about the Chaotic Soul Abyss, hoping to find stones containing laws, and learned that Mu Bai’s great-grandfather and the Boundary-Breaking Talisman had vanished inside it. Just as Lin Chuan suggested he might have a way to enter, Mu Yunshu arrived and demanded that Lin Chuan hand over Moonlit.

  • Lin Chuan told Mu Bai he wanted the law-containing stones from the Chaotic Soul Abyss and explained that the Heaven-Measuring Ruler had led him to it.
  • Mu Bai revealed that the Boundary-Breaking Talisman was lost inside the Chaotic Soul Abyss along with his great-grandfather, Mu Yunshang, whose life tablet had cracked but not shattered.
  • Lin Chuan inferred that Mu Yunshang might still be alive and said he might have a way to enter the Chaotic Soul Abyss.
  • Mu Yunshu appeared and ordered Lin Chuan to hand over Moonlit, while Mu Bai protested that Lin Chuan was his friend.
  • Mu Yunshu noticed that Lin Chuan seemed unaffected by his pressure and spotted a butterfly on Lin Chuan’s shoulder.

Ch. 1869Bargaining Chip

Lin Chuan used the Jade Butterfly, the West Creek Continent’s companion divine beast, to deter Mu Yunshu from taking Moonlit by force. Mu Yunshu accepted Mu Bai’s proposal to cooperate in breaking open the Chaotic Soul Abyss, and the three left to discuss the terms.

  • Mu Yunshu recognized the Jade Butterfly on Lin Chuan’s shoulder and realized he could not risk provoking the West Creek Continent’s companion divine beast.
  • Mu Bai offered to let Lin Chuan take him hostage so Mu Yunshu would agree to cooperate instead of fighting.
  • Mu Bai proposed that the Heaven One Sword Sect cooperate with Lin Chuan to use Moonlit on the Chaotic Soul Abyss, and Mu Yunshu accepted.
  • Mu Yunshu explained to Mu Bai that he recognized the Jade Butterfly and that fighting Lin Chuan would endanger the sect.
  • Mu Bai invited Lin Chuan and Mu Yunshu to the Heaven One Sword Sect’s southeastern outpost, and they departed through a spatial rift.

Ch. 1870Unexpected

Lin Chuan, Mu Yunshu, and Mu Bai reached the Chaotic Soul Abyss, where Lin Chuan used the Maha Sutra to protect Mu Bai from its mental effects. When Moonlit stirred the formation’s red mist into a dangerous surge, Lin Chuan put the sword away and said he had another way to enter.

  • Mu Yunshu brought Lin Chuan and Mu Bai to the Chaotic Soul Abyss and warned them about its effects on the mind.
  • The formation’s dark red mist nearly overwhelmed Mu Bai, but Lin Chuan used the Maha Sutra to dispel its influence.
  • Lin Chuan examined the formation and found it was woven from threads that seemed to come from different spacetime realms.
  • When Lin Chuan drew Moonlit, the mist surged violently through the formation, forcing him to use the Maha Sutra to hold it back.
  • Lin Chuan put Moonlit away, calming the mist, and concluded that he could not use the sword to break the formation.
  • After Mu Bai feared they could not enter the abyss, Lin Chuan said he had another method.

Ch. 1871Entering

Lin Chuan used Zero Burial’s Rinnegan technique to send shadows into the Chaotic Soul Abyss through a gap in its formation. After Mu Yunshu gave him the Heaven One Sword Sect’s exploration records, Zero Burial began searching for Mu Yunshang and the Boundary-Breaking Talisman, then discovered that the abyss had a different Heavenly Dao from the outside world.

  • After Moonlit failed to break the formation, Lin Chuan summoned Zero Burial to try another method.
  • Zero Burial used Limbo: Border Jail to send four shadows through the formation and into the Chaotic Soul Abyss.
  • Lin Chuan proved Zero Burial had entered by causing Evil-Slaying Divine Thunder to appear inside the abyss, convincing Mu Yunshu to hand over the sect’s exploration records.
  • Lin Chuan read the records and passed them to Zero Burial, who began exploring for Mu Yunshang, Origin Grass, and the Boundary-Breaking Talisman.
  • Zero Burial discovered that the Heavenly Dao inside the Chaotic Soul Abyss differed from the outside world and that he could not sense the cultivation world’s origin.

Ch. 1872Exploring the Chaotic Soul Abyss

Zero Burial explored the Chaotic Soul Abyss and discovered that its laws belonged to a different world, while searching for Mu Yunshang’s Boundary-Breaking Talisman. Near the edge of his search, he sensed an immortal artifact and saw a brilliant talisman paper that might be the one he needed.

  • Zero Burial discovered that the Chaotic Soul Abyss’s laws differed from those of the cultivation world and used his five shadows to explore it.
  • Zero Burial searched the abyss over several days, gradually extending his exploration beyond Heaven One Sword Sect’s rough records.
  • One of Zero Burial’s shadows found a black stone carrying the aura of Origin Grass, but Lin Chuan said it could not be brought out before the formation was broken.
  • Zero Burial told Mu Yunshu that Mu Yunshang had likely lost the Boundary-Breaking Talisman deeper inside the abyss.
  • On the tenth day, Zero Burial sensed an immortal artifact near the edge of the Limbo worlds and saw a jade-bright talisman paper floating above the ground.

Ch. 1873Delirium

Lin Chuan used Zero Burial to search the Chaotic Soul Abyss for Origin Grass stones and Mu Yunshang while avoiding entering the abyss himself. Zero Burial eventually found Mu Yunshang unconscious, but the old man’s delirious words hinted at a danger that stopped Zero Burial from acting.

  • Lin Chuan told Mu Yunshu and Mu Bai that he would open the Chaotic Soul Abyss only once and retrieve everything without entering it, following Xiao Heng’s warning.
  • Zero Burial confirmed the Boundary-Breaking Talisman’s location, then searched the abyss for Origin Grass stones and Mu Yunshang.
  • Over half a month, Zero Burial found five black stones but could not locate Mu Yunshang, so Lin Chuan merged with Zero Burial to expand the search.
  • Zero Burial found Mu Yunshang unconscious near the edge of Limbo: Border Jail and showed him to Mu Yunshu and Mu Bai, who confirmed his identity.
  • As Zero Burial approached Mu Yunshang, the old man muttered that he gave up and begged to be released, calling immortals poisonous.

Ch. 1874Eyes

Zero Burial rescued Mu Yunshang from the Chaotic Soul Abyss after Mu Yunshang muttered that immortals were poisonous, but a terrifying eye appeared in the abyss before the group escaped. Mu Yunshu took Mu Yunshang into his care, and Lin Chuan left with Zero Burial, still troubled by the warning about immortals.

  • Mu Yunshang repeatedly muttered that immortals were poisonous, and Zero Burial grew concerned about the warning and what it meant for his own possible ascension.
  • Zero Burial carried Mu Yunshang and the black stone toward the formation as an ominous presence stirred within the Chaotic Soul Abyss.
  • Zero Burial used the Boundary-Breaking Talisman to dissolve the formation while a beast claw formed from dark-red mist attacked Mu Yunshang.
  • Zero Burial struck at the beast claw with Moonlit and escaped with Mu Yunshang before the formation sealed again.
  • A pitch-black eye appeared in the Chaotic Soul Abyss, and Mu Yunshu took the group away in alarm.
  • Zero Burial handed Mu Yunshang to Mu Yunshu and claimed the Boundary-Breaking Talisman; Lin Chuan then left with Zero Burial.

Ch. 1875Vacation and Heir

After emerging from seclusion, Lin Chuan joined his companions’ lakeside vacation before learning that Mu Yunshang had awakened. He traveled to the Heaven One Sword Sect with Xiao Heng and Shi Jin to examine Mu Yunshang, only to learn the sect already had a Carefree Pill Immortal heir.

  • Lin Chuan emerged from seclusion and found his companions relaxing and eating grilled fish, then joined them after Xiao Heng prepared a fragrant fish.
  • Lin Chuan told Bu Lianshi and the others that he had consumed all the Origin Grass but still needed time to refine it and merge with the cultivation world’s origin.
  • Lin Chuan learned Mu Yunshang had awakened and agreed to visit the Heaven One Sword Sect with Shi Jin and Xiao Heng, who hoped Shi Jin could help restore Mu Yunshang’s sanity.
  • Mu Bai told Lin Chuan that Mu Yunshang was awake but mentally unclear and no longer recognized Mu Yunshu.
  • Mu Bai revealed that the Heaven One Sword Sect’s other Tribulation Transcendence cultivator was a pill refiner and the inheritor of the Carefree Pill Immortal, prompting Lin Chuan and Xiao Heng to look at Shi Jin.

Ch. 1876Li Xiaoyao's Past

Lin Chuan and his companions visited the awakened but mentally damaged Mu Yunshang, after Mu Bai explained that his sect’s senior had inherited the Carefree Pill Immortal’s alchemy legacy. When Lin Chuan asked Mu Yunshang about the phrase “immortals are toxic,” Mu Yunshang panicked, leaving Mu Chen and Mu Yunshu demanding an explanation.

  • Mu Bai told Lin Chuan, Shi Jin, and the others the story of the Carefree Pill Immortal, whose former name was Li Xiaoyao, and explained that Mu Chen had inherited his alchemy manuals.
  • Mu Bai led the group to Mu Yunshang, whom Mu Yunshu said had been severely damaged by his time in the Chaotic Soul Abyss.
  • Lin Chuan asked Mu Yunshang what “immortals are toxic” meant, and Mu Yunshang suddenly screamed and trembled in terror.
  • Mu Chen arrived and gave Mu Yunshang a medicinal pill to calm him, then questioned Lin Chuan about what had happened.
  • Mu Yunshu stopped Mu Chen from blaming Lin Chuan and asked Lin Chuan to explain the phrase that had triggered Mu Yunshang.

Ch. 1877The Pill Recipe for the Tranquility Pill

Shi Jin identified the flaw in Mu Chen’s Calmheart Pill, which had worsened Mu Yunshang’s condition, and revealed that he knew the original formula. He left Mu Chen stunned by claiming to be the author of Carefree Pill Records.

  • Mu Yunshang began convulsing again, and Mu Chen tried to diagnose him with spiritual energy.
  • Shi Jin examined Mu Chen’s pill and explained that Soul-Calming Grass and sixteen added herbs made it suppress Mu Yunshang’s mind while leaving his fear untreated.
  • Shi Jin identified the pill as a flawed version of the Calmheart Pill and said replacing Heartfreezing Grass with Netherbloom would prevent the harmful effect.
  • Mu Chen said the original Calmheart Pill formula came from Carefree Pill Immortal, and Shi Jin inferred that Mu Chen had found Carefree Pill Records.
  • Shi Jin told Mu Chen that he had written Carefree Pill Records, leaving Mu Chen and the others in shock.

Ch. 1878Idol and Fan

Shi Jin proved to Mu Chen that he was the reincarnation of the Carefree Pill Immortal by correcting the Carefree Pill Notes, then explained that he had come to ask Mu Yunshang about the poisoned immortals. The group stayed at the Heaven One Sword Sect to investigate Mu Yunshang's condition, while Lin Chuan remained concerned about the Central River Continent.

  • Mu Chen grew furious when Shi Jin claimed to have written the Carefree Pill Notes, but Shi Jin demonstrated his knowledge by explaining their errors and omissions.
  • Mu Chen recognized Shi Jin's superior understanding of alchemy and accepted that he was the Carefree Pill Immortal reincarnated.
  • Shi Jin told Mu Chen that something had gone wrong and that he had come to ask Mu Yunshang what he meant by saying the immortals were poisoned.
  • Mu Chen eagerly sought alchemy guidance from Shi Jin, but Lin Chuan reminded them that treating Mu Yunshang and restoring his consciousness came first.
  • Shi Jin and Mu Chen examined Mu Yunshang together, and the three visitors stayed at the Heaven One Sword Sect while Lin Chuan worried about the Central River Continent.

Ch. 1879Ice Snow Space

Lin Chuan began constructing the Ice Snow Space with Amenominaka, but the space expanded slowly until the Jade Butterfly drew in a tremendous amount of the West Creek Continent’s spiritual energy. The Heaven One Sword Sect and Mu Yunshu sensed a continent-spanning vortex and feared what Lin Chuan might do with the gathered energy.

  • Lin Chuan secluded himself in the Heaven One Sword Sect’s spiritual mountain to develop Amenominaka after the Fruit of the God Tree’s abilities improved.
  • Lin Chuan opened a spatial rift and entered the Ice Snow Space, which initially extended only about one kilometer before giving way to chaos.
  • Lin Chuan asked the Jade Butterfly to help supply spiritual energy, and it caused a powerful surge that rapidly expanded the Ice Snow Space.
  • Lin Chuan widened the rift and drew in streams of spiritual energy condensed into flowing water, accelerating the space’s growth.
  • Mu Yunshu and others sensed a vortex pulling spiritual energy from nearly half the West Creek Continent toward Lin Chuan’s mountain, and Mu Yunshu feared the consequences.

Ch. 1880Amenominaka

Lin Chuan used Jade Butterfly’s help to expand two of Amenominaka’s spaces, but stopped when the spiritual energy drain threatened West Creek Continent. He then brought Mu Yunshu and Mu Chen into the ice-and-snow space to demonstrate his new technique, leaving the two Tribulation Transcendence cultivators shocked by its power.

  • Mu Yunshu ordered the area sealed off and spread word that the Heaven One Sword Sect was testing a large-scale formation as spiritual energy poured into Lin Chuan’s spatial black hole.
  • With Jade Butterfly’s help, Lin Chuan fully expanded and reinforced the ice-and-snow space, then expanded the lava space as well.
  • Jade Butterfly stopped the flow because West Creek Continent’s spiritual energy was limited, and Lin Chuan accepted that two expanded spaces were enough for now.
  • Mu Yunshu and Mu Chen confronted Lin Chuan about the spiritual energy he had absorbed, and he explained that he had been cultivating a spell with Jade Butterfly’s help.
  • Lin Chuan used Amenominaka to transport Mu Yunshu and Mu Chen from the spirit mountain into the ice-and-snow space, startling them with its unfamiliar spatial power.

Ch. 1881Lin Chuan's Goal

Lin Chuan brought Mu Yunshu and Mu Chen into the ice-and-snow world created by Amenominaka and tested how powerful an opponent it could contain. After learning it could handle cultivators below the mid-Mahayana Stage, he proposed partnering with the Heaven One Sword Sect to travel between the seven continents.

  • Lin Chuan showed Mu Yunshu and Mu Chen his independent ice-and-snow world, where its immature laws prevented them from using their domains.
  • Mu Yunshu and Mu Chen tested Amenominaka with increasingly powerful attacks until Lin Chuan told them the world had reached its limit.
  • Mu Yunshu judged that Amenominaka could handle cultivators below the mid-Mahayana Stage but warned that late-Mahayana Stage opponents posed a risk.
  • Lin Chuan thanked the two cultivators and said his spatial abilities would soon allow him to travel freely between continents.
  • Lin Chuan invited the Heaven One Sword Sect to partner with Akatsuki, offering it the prospect of becoming the only first-tier faction able to travel freely between the seven continents.

Ch. 1882Secrets of the Immortal Realm

Lin Chuan secured the Heaven One Sword Sect’s cooperation by offering pills and limited support against powerful enemies. He then questioned the ailing Mu Yunshang, who warned that the Immortal Realm was a prison and that immortals were prisoners, leaving Lin Chuan and the others with more questions.

  • Mu Yunshu agreed to discuss cooperation with Lin Chuan and brought Mu Bai to the meeting.
  • Lin Chuan asked the Heaven One Sword Sect to intervene if the Akatsuki organization faced Tribulation Transcendence cultivators and to assist in the Southern Bright Continent if needed.
  • Mu Yunshu and Mu Chen agreed to cooperate with the Akatsuki organization, and Chen Jue offered pills to strengthen the sect.
  • Lin Chuan asked Mu Chen about Mu Yunshang’s condition and then went with the others to visit him.
  • Lin Chuan asked Mu Yunshang what “immortals are poisonous” meant, and Mu Yunshang said the Immortal Realm was a prison where immortals were prisoners and resisting immortals had died.
