Asha Greyjoy's eyes flickered almost imperceptibly. She paused briefly, then said in a slightly exaggerated tone, "Oh—my uncle didn't pay a visit to Lannisport?"

She wore a speculative expression. "...Could it be that he plans to send his greetings on the return voyage? Everyone says Lannisport is his favorite Lannister harbor."

Gryn smiled upon hearing that. He calmly spread his hands and said, "Honestly, even if Euron Greyjoy had plundered Casterly Rock, I wouldn't care."

Asha was stunned at first, disbelief written all over her face. Then she gritted her teeth and snapped, "Are you playing games with me?"

Gryn's tone remained entirely unchanged as he calmly said, "Your uncle loves you very much. I heard that during his voyage, he betrothed you to Erik 'Breaker of Anvils' Ironmaker, whom Crow's Eye appointed Warden of the Iron Islands. That allowed me to see an Iron Islands on the verge of stability."

[Erik Ironmaker is the head of House Ironmaker in the Iron Islands. He is eighty-eight years old this year.]

Asha's hand clenched into a fist. Crow's Eye had not considered sparing her because of her "disappearance." This scheme of his had utterly shattered her chances of using marriage as a bargaining chip to win the support of the other powers in the Iron Islands.

She had only a dozen or so longships, and her men were growing increasingly restless. If she did not take action soon, Crow's Eye would not even need to act himself. Plenty of people would gladly bind her and deliver her to his ship in exchange for a generous reward.

Such were the brutal rules of the Ironborn game. It would also be the final value King Balon's daughter held in the eyes of others.

Asha slowly unclenched her fist and looked at Gryn with
