Feeling Aunt Genna's gaze, Ser Jaime glanced back at her, then shrugged.

Today, Gryn wore a simply styled blue robe, with an exquisitely crafted Marsh Marigold sigil pinned to his left breast.

He came before the head of the table, braced one hand against it, and swept his gaze over everyone present. When his eyes met Jaime's, he gave a nod.

"Good day, everyone."

Ser Jaime temporarily took on the role of "steward" and began the introductions. "This is Ser Daven Lannister, Warden of the West."

Ser Daven politely touched his chest in greeting toward Gryn.

"This is Marquess Aenys Frey of the Twins."

As soon as Jaime finished speaking, Marquess Aenys bent forward ingratiatingly beneath Lady Genna's eye roll. "Your fame as a great commander has spread throughout the Seven Kingdoms. It is a great honor to meet you, Duke Crabb."

Jaime's expression stiffened slightly before he continued, "This is Lady of the Twins, Genna Lannister, my aunt."

Finally, he introduced Gryn to the others once more. "This is... Duke Gryn Crabb of the Eyrie, Warden of the East."

After the greetings, Gryn took the seat at the head of the long table. To his right sat Ser Daven and Ser Jaime, while Marquess Aenys and Lady Genna sat to his left.

"...The Blackfish still hasn't opened the sluice gates. That is the final problem."

Listening to Ser Daven complain about the difficulties of the siege as though Gryn were one of them, Gryn's brow furrowed slightly.

Gryn's brown eyes shifted faintly. He glanced at the silent Jaime Lannister and said, "Ser Daven, if that is the case... should Riverrun open its sluice gates, it would mean they have only their last breath left. That would be good news instead."

Seeing Gryn finally speak, Ser Daven secretly exchanged
