Crow's Eye's Treasure

Davos Seaworth and his son followed Lord Mathis's steward to the small hall. At the sight of him, the waiting Mathis Rowan stepped forward to greet them.

"Good day, Lord Rowan. This is my second son, Allard Seaworth."

"Good day, Lord Seaworth."

After the greetings, Lord Mathis offered a friendly smile. "I have heard of your experiences. Welcome back to the Seven Kingdoms."

At that, Davos's brow creased almost imperceptibly.

"Because of my mistakes, I was reduced to a wandering knight. Duke Gryn was kind enough to take me in, and for that... I am deeply grateful."

Then, Davos casually glanced around and stiffly changed the subject. "Your residence is beautifully arranged."

"...Thank you for the compliment. Please, sit."

Mathis and Seaworth took their seats, while Allard stood behind his father, holding a wooden box.

After a few pleasantries, Davos gestured to his son. "Lord Rowan, we captured someone."

Allard set the wooden box on the round table. After receiving Lord Mathis's permission, he opened the lid.

Lord Mathis leaned forward slightly and looked inside the box. After a pause, he said in some surprise, "Aurane Waters?"

"While Allard was serving in the Royal Fleet, he noticed something unusual."

As he spoke, Davos could not help casting a pleased glance at his son. "Aurane suddenly ordered the fleet anchored in Blackwater Bay to set sail. After receiving the news, I joined Allard and his men in preventing his escape."

"What a sharp young man. I will report Allard's bravery to His Majesty the King."

After praising him, Lord Mathis pondered for a moment before asking, "Where are the ships that bastard took?"

"Quite a few of the ships were damaged, so I left them at Mermaid Harbor... Well, the shipwrights there are skilled, and more importantly, it is nearby."

Allard
