"Judging by his attack on Lord Ned, he has clearly gone mad."
Gryn's expression seemed to acknowledge the title he had given himself—the legendary assassin—making Tyrion feel slightly awkward.
Tyrion could not help mocking himself. The Imp's various "infamous reputations" were already known throughout the Seven Kingdoms; who still cared what the truth was?
He closed his eyes briefly. Lancel had become half-mad as well...
After calming his turbulent emotions somewhat, Tyrion suddenly asked, "Tommen and Myrcella... are they doing well?"
"Very well. Though it cannot compare to their former luxury..."
Gryn took a sip of Summer Wine and continued, "...they live in an estate on Crackclaw Point, attended by servants and guarded by soldiers. They live more comfortably than most people, aside from being unable to travel freely."
Tyrion's small chest rose and fell once as he pressed, "Can the brother and sister still see each other?"
Gryn studied Tyrion's mismatched eyes for a moment before replying, "If that is what you wish, I will arrange for them to meet once a year."
"Thank you, thank you very much. I am almost envious of the life they have now..."
As he spoke, Tyrion's expression suddenly froze. Testingly, he said, "Merciful Your Grace, will this 'request' count toward my merits?"
A slightly complicated look crossed Gryn's face. After a pause, he slowly said, "I promised Cersei that her two children would be safe."
Myrcella and Tommen had been sentenced to exile on Crackclaw Point. King Gryn's word was as good as gold. Though they had to go to the Sept every day to repent, their actual lives were little different from those of ordinary nobles. Moreover, within the estate where they lived, both the girl and the boy could move about freely.
After a pause.
Tyrion's expression also turned complicated.
