As the lotus neared them, its radiance illuminated the entire space. A blinding light burst forth in an instant, like a brilliant star exploding.
The light was so dazzling that no one could keep their eyes open. Powerful energy surged wildly outward from the lotus, and fine cracks appeared in the space wherever it reached.
Once the light faded, everything returned to stillness.
