Han Xue leaned forward, her face full of shock.
"Brother-in-law, did you really wipe out everyone in Ice River Valley? The Ice Venerable was a Four-Star Dou Zun! His Ice Venerable Force was famous throughout the Central Plains. Weren't you hurt at all?"
Lu Heng raised a hand and flicked Han Xue on the forehead.
"Ow!" Han Xue clutched her head and hurried back.
Lu Heng withdrew his hand and teased her.
"From the sound of it, you were hoping I'd come back covered in wounds?"
"N-no!"
Han Xue rubbed her forehead, cheeks burning red as she waved her hands frantically.
"I was worried! Ice River Valley has lorded it over the Northern Region for years, and the Ice Venerable's name is known everywhere. Who would've thought you could really kill him? What's wrong with asking..."
Her voice grew quieter with every word. In the end, she twisted her hands together and lowered her head, hardly daring to look at Lu Heng.
Han Yue sighed softly beside her.
"Xue, Lu Heng's teasing you."
Lu Heng laughed too and ruffled Han Xue's hair.
"All right, I was teasing."
With that, Lu Heng's Storage Ring flashed, and three jade bottles landed in the center of the stone table.
Xiao Yi Xian, Han Yue, and Qing Lin all stepped closer, their attention drawn to the bottles.
Lu Heng pointed to the first, a blue-gray jade bottle, and looked at Xiao Yi Xian.
"This is the Acquired Woe Poison Physique Origin from the Ice Venerable's body.
"He spent centuries cultivating, plundering all kinds of cold poisons and using secret arts to force this origin to form inside him.
"It's a deadly poison to anyone else, but for you, it's a rare and powerful tonic."
Lu Heng pushed the jade bottle toward Xiao Yi Xian.
