Yang Chu watched the two underlings of Black Skin Sha walk toward him, his expression calm. He offered no resistance, allowing them to grab his arms from either side.
"Hmm? Black Fish Zai, it seems you're a sensible kid."
Black Skin Sha watched his two men successfully seize Yang Chu before slowly pulling a handgun from his waistband, waving the muzzle at Yang Chu. "I actually thought you were going to try something."
He had witnessed Yang Chu's skills that afternoon; when he had intercepted the car to find him, he had already prepared for the possibility that Yang Chu might fight back.
However, to his surprise, Yang Chu did not resist at all.
Facing the handgun at such close range, Yang Chu did not speak, nor was there any fear on his face. He simply looked past Black Skin Sha, his gaze landing on the ponytail-wearing youth who was also watching him.
He was certain of one thing: Black Skin Sha and his men definitely hadn't known him before. Although they had crossed paths a few times on the film set, there had been no interaction, and their gazes toward him had been no different from anyone else's.
It was only after this ponytail-wearing youth appeared at the pier that he noticed Black Skin Sha and his men focusing on him.
So, this is the trouble "I" have been dragged into?
The youth with the ponytail clearly knew "him," and from the few words exchanged between the ponytail and Black Skin Sha, he had gathered quite a bit of information.
Brother Cheng, Dao You Cheng—this must have been the original boss of this body.
After Dao You Cheng died, his former territory was absorbed by the faction Black Skin Sha belonged to.
Dao You Cheng still owed Black Skin Sha's boss tens of millions, and while the man was dead, a shipment of goods remained.
The whereabouts of this shipment were now known only to him.
Combining the fact that Black Skin Sha had been searching for him everywhere with the fact that he had been kidnapped and held captive when he first woke up, the situation was likely exactly as he suspected.
"Don't worry, as long as we find the goods, we won't do anything to you."
Black Skin Sha habitually tilted his head and cracked his neck, gesturing to the two men holding Yang Chu. "Get him in the car."
"Chu Zai!"
Seeing that Yang Chu was about to be taken away in a different car by Black Skin Sha's men, Fish Head Xu rushed over in a panic.
"Brother Xu, it's fine. You go home first."
Yang Chu turned his head and flashed a bright smile at Fish Head Xu. "Once I resolve the trouble I'm in, I'll come back and work as a stuntman with you again."
"Get in!"
One of Black Skin Sha's men, seeing Yang Chu turn to speak, shoved him impatiently.
Yang Chu didn't resist, sliding into the back seat as the door opened. The two underlings followed him in, one on each side, pinning him in the middle.
"Cross-eyed, don't cause trouble."
Seeing Fish Head Xu trying to rush forward, Black Skin Sha waved his handgun at him again. Once Fish Head Xu was intimidated into stopping, he turned and walked toward the front passenger seat with the other underling.
"Brother Sha, what about me..."
The ponytail-wearing youth standing on the sidelines saw them getting into the car and realized there was no room left for him, so he called out in a hurry.
"Don't you have legs? Walk back, you lunatic!"
Black Skin Sha sneered. Now that he had found Yang Chu, and since this ponytail kid didn't know where the goods were, he was of no further use to him.
Tucking his gun back into his waistband, Black Skin Sha ducked into the passenger seat and slammed the door shut. The vehicle started up immediately.
"Tell me, Black Fish Zai, where exactly did Dao You Cheng hide those goods?"
After the car had driven for a while, Black Skin Sha sat in the passenger seat, turned his head, and asked Yang Chu lazily.
"If I tell you, will you let me go? I remember, I killed one of your men, didn't I?"
Yang Chu sat sandwiched between the two men, his expression remaining calm as he looked at the side of Black Skin Sha's face.
"Big Mouth Wai? He brought it on himself; he can't blame anyone else."
Black Skin Sha waved his hand, seemingly indifferent. "We only want the goods. You lead me to them, and what happens afterward is none of your business. You can go back to being your stuntman. I heard from the set that the fat guy, San Bao, thinks highly of you. Maybe we can even invest in you later and have him push you to be a leading man."
"Heh—" Yang Chu chuckled. He didn't believe a single word Black Skin Sha said. He replied flatly, "I can tell you the location of the goods, but I will only tell your boss. Take me to see him."
"Black Fish Zai, do you think I'm a pushover, you bastard!"
Black Skin Sha's expression turned ferocious instantly. He nearly stood up from the passenger seat, leaning half his body into the back, and glared at Yang Chu. "Let me tell you, I don't have the patience for this. If you're smart, you'll take me to those goods—"
"So, you're unwilling to take me to see your boss?"
Yang Chu's face flushed slightly, and he leaned forward as well, his eyes locked onto Black Skin Sha without blinking.
Yang Chu had absolutely no idea where the goods Black Skin Sha wanted were located.
The reason he hadn't resisted earlier and had gotten into the car was, firstly, because Fish Head Xu was still in the nearby vehicle, and secondly, because Yang Chu wanted to resolve his current predicament once and for all.
From Black Skin Sha's earlier words, there was still a boss to whom Dao You Cheng owed tens of millions.
If Yang Chu wanted to end his troubles, he naturally had to deal with that boss.
But it seemed now that Black Skin Sha had no intention of taking him to see that boss just like that.
"Damn it! You looking to die?"
Staring into Yang Chu's eyes, Black Skin Sha's rage flared up. Ignoring the cramped space, he raised his right fist and swung it directly at Yang Chu's face.
Yang Chu sat in the back seat, his arms pinned by Black Skin Sha's two underlings, his upper body almost completely unable to move.
Just as Black Skin Sha threw his punch, Yang Chu's head tilted at an uncanny angle, narrowly evading the blow aimed at his face.
Following this, Yang Chu's body gave a sudden, violent shudder and twist, his entire frame appearing to thicken as he instantly broke free from the grip of Black Skin Sha's two henchmen.
His right elbow slammed into the chest of the lackey on his right; the force was so immense that the sound of cracking bone was almost instantaneous.
Using the momentum from that elbow strike, Yang Chu pushed off with his right foot, his body leaning heavily against the collapsing lackey, while his left leg swung out, his knee smashing directly into the face of the second lackey who was lunging toward him.
The sound of shattering bone and the spray of blood occurred almost simultaneously.
Black Skin Sha was startled by Yang Chu's sudden eruption of violence and scrambled in a panic to reach for his gun.
He had considered the possibility of Yang Chu resisting earlier, but seeing how compliant Yang Chu had been—and with two men pinning him down inside the car—he had let his guard down, never imagining that Yang Chu would dare to fight back within the cramped confines of the vehicle.
But before Black Skin Sha could draw the weapon from his waistband, Yang Chu's left hand shot forward, grabbing him by the hair. With immense force, he yanked the majority of Black Skin Sha's body from the passenger seat into the back, pinning his head down toward the floorboards so that the pistol tucked at his waist could not be drawn.
"Sha!"
The other henchman in the driver's seat was so terrified by the sudden brawl that he nearly lost his grip on the steering wheel.
He slammed on the brakes, his right hand frantically reaching out to grab the pistol at Black Skin Sha's waist.
But just then—
From an intersection to the side, a dull roar of an engine suddenly erupted, and two intense beams of high-beam headlights cut through the side windshield.
CRASH!
A five- or six-meter-long dump truck suddenly barreled into them, sending the small car rolling over several times.
The dump truck came to a halt, and two figures leaped down, one from each side.
