"Hey, where did you lot come from? We're not selling tickets anymore, we're closing in a bit!"
Near a side door outside the pool, Uncle Kin, who had been meticulously mopping the floor, suddenly looked up to see three figures appearing near the water. He quickly set down his mop and shouted at them.
The three were all hulking, burly men. Two of them simply stared at the deep end of the pool, completely ignoring Uncle Kin's shouting. Only one man, who was standing closer, slowly turned his head, his pale blue eyes devoid of any emotion as he looked at Uncle Kin.
"Goodness, where did these foreigners come from?"
Uncle Kin saw the man's face clearly and felt a jolt of fear. He wanted to say something else, but seeing the coldness in the man's gaze, he suddenly felt timid.
He was an old hand at life; although he was just a pool attendant, he had seen enough people and events to know at a glance that these men were not to be trifled with.
"Uncle Kin, these people are here for me."
Yang Chu, lying in the deep end of the pool, had already crawled to the other side of the bank at some point. He waved at the flustered Uncle Kin, "I'm hungry, Uncle Kin, could you please help me buy some late-night snacks?"
"Damn brat, buy them for you..."
Hearing Yang Chu ask him to run an errand, Uncle Kin instinctively wanted to curse, but seeing the three foreigners by the pool, he suddenly understood. He pulled out his keys and ran toward an iron gate on the side of the wall, shouting as he unlocked it, "Rice rolls, right? I got it."
Click—
Just as Uncle Kin turned and scrambled toward the gate, the foreigner who had looked at him earlier suddenly pulled a handgun from his leather jacket and aimed it at Uncle Kin's back.
Whoosh. A slipper flew from the poolside, knocking the gun out of the foreigner's hand and onto the ground.
The foreigner was startled and hurriedly bent down to retrieve the gun, but by the time he looked up, the quick-witted Uncle Kin had already slipped out the side door and vanished.
"This is a busy area. Eliminate the target first."
The foreigner picked up his gun and wanted to chase after him, but a woman's voice stopped him.
It was the sexy, alluring urbanite who had appeared at the stir-fry shop earlier. No one knew when she had arrived at the pool, but she walked with elegant steps toward Yang Chu, who had just climbed out of the water.
"I really should have let him leave sooner, or I shouldn't have brought unknown danger here."
Watching Uncle Kin escape through the side door, this thought suddenly surfaced in Yang Chu's mind.
In truth, he didn't care if the trouble he carried would drag others in or cause them harm.
Ever since he realized he was being followed and that an unknown crisis might be looming, his first thought had been how to use this pressure to better achieve alternating rest for his left and right brain hemispheres while in the water.
But the moment he saw that foreigner try to shoot, he suddenly remembered the old man only charging him ten dollars earlier, and his nagging about working hard and having ambition.
Tap, tap, tap. Footsteps echoed.
"Are you here for me?"
The thought in Yang Chu's mind flashed and vanished. He kicked off his other slipper and looked at the sexy, alluring woman walking toward him.
"Did you kill our team members?"
The sexy woman scanned Yang Chu, her willow-leaf eyebrows arched slightly, a hint of doubt appearing in her bright eyes.
She had already seen the bodies of the two dead members in the police morgue; both had died from massive blunt force trauma during a struggle. But the young man before her had a very ordinary physique and musculature; he didn't look like the type of power-based martial arts expert who could do that.
"Your team members?"
Yang Chu's eyes flickered. He glanced at the other three tall foreigners standing by the pool and smiled, "The two burly men who couldn't feel pain? It was me."
As he spoke, Yang Chu looked at the woman and asked, "Do you not feel pain either? How do you do it?"
"It really was you?!" The sexy woman's voice turned icy.
Yang Chu looked at them, seemingly talking to himself, "How did you find me? Was it the one with the ponytail? Yes, he should know me. But you finding me this quickly—you're better than the police."
"Finish him."
The sexy woman's face was cold; she had lost interest in continuing the conversation with Yang Chu.
Their style of operation was always direct and efficient. The only reason she had spoken these few words to Yang Chu tonight was to further understand who had killed their two members and whether it would affect their upcoming plans.
Now, seeing Yang Chu admit it without hesitation, the sexy woman gestured to the three other tall, strong foreigners. The three immediately moved, lunging at Yang Chu in unison.
Busy area, afraid of making a scene, so the woman didn't let them use guns? That means they're afraid of being noticed, afraid of being targeted by the police or investigated. Do they have some plan or conspiracy? Or is the organization just too mysterious?
Watching them lunge, Yang Chu felt no fear. While his brain operated at high speed, he analyzed other things from the woman's refusal to let them use guns.
As for whether they chose to use guns or not, Yang Chu didn't care; he only thought about eliminating the people in front of him.
Hah!
A violent shout rang out by his ear.
A tall foreigner behind the pool had already rushed to Yang Chu's back, his thick leg kicking toward his heart.
As if Yang Chu had eyes on his back, he sidestepped the kick just as the foreigner lifted his leg, bent his elbow, and slammed it into the man's chest.
Bang! The foreigner's chest and abdomen collapsed, his tall body lifted off the ground and flew backward.
"This move is useful!"
After that one elbow strike, Yang Chu could clearly feel the muscles in his thighs, waist, back, shoulders, and hips all coordinating to generate force.
The move he used was exactly the Baji Heart-Striking Elbow that Shark Yan had used when he watched the duel between Xiahou Wu and Shark Yan. Compared to the power Shark Yan displayed, Yang Chu's elbow strike was more fierce, explosive, and over twice as powerful.
After that foreigner flew backward, the other two tall foreigners in front attacked Yang Chu one after the other.
Yang Chu was quick-eyed and nimble; he grabbed the wrist of the first man as he threw a punch, pulled to use his momentum, and hooked his foot. The man immediately lost his balance. Yang Chu pressed his other hand onto the man's face and twisted backward. Crack! The man's neck bone snapped, and he collapsed at Yang Chu's feet.
Wrestling techniques and grappling.
Behind him, the man who had brandished a gun earlier had now reached Yang Chu. With no time to draw his weapon, he swung a heavy, brutal punch directly at Yang Chu's head.
Yang Chu ducked low once more, twisted his body, and formed his fist into a Phoenix Eye, striking the third foreigner's armpit with a sharp crack.
The foreigner's right arm went limp instantly, yet his ferocity remained undiminished. With eyes bulging in rage, he reached out with his other arm to throttle Yang Chu's neck.
So, there really is no sense of pain.
Watching the arm clamp around his throat, Yang Chu grabbed the man's wrist with his left hand and struck the elbow with his right. With another snap, the foreigner's left arm went limp as well.
The foreigner then lunged forward, slamming his head toward Yang Chu's forehead with savage intent.
But Yang Chu suddenly let out a thunderous roar, his body shifting into the Gong stance as he drove a fist straight into the center of the man's chest, right over his heart.
Hung Ga Gong Zi Fu Hu.
The foreigner was sent flying backward, crashing heavily onto the ground. He twitched twice before falling completely still.
The same techniques, yet in Yang Chu's hands, every strike was a lethal blow, possessing a terrifying level of power.
"One left."
Yang Chu turned his gaze toward the sexy woman standing in the open space not far from the pool.
The woman's expression was one of horror. She already held a silver pistol in her hand, no longer caring about the noise as she prepared to fire.
She had never imagined that Yang Chu, who appeared to have the build of an ordinary man, could be so vicious, killing three of her team members in the blink of an eye.
Seeing the muzzle aimed at him, Yang Chu kicked the foreigner whose neck he had just broken, hoisting the body up to use as a shield before charging toward the woman.
Just then, a clack rang out. A playing card flew from out of nowhere, striking the armed woman's wrist and sending her silver pistol clattering to the ground.
Following this, a black-clad figure leaped down from the pool's office building, blocking Yang Chu's path.
