Tsim Sha Tsui, the sea breeze was cool.
On the waterfront promenade outside the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Xiahou Wu watched Yang Chu catch up from behind. He dusted off a few spots on his clothes and said with a smile, "A Chu, thanks for tonight."
"Think nothing of it. I learned a lot both times I watched you fight."
Yang Chu shook his head slightly. He could tell what Xiahou Wu meant. Tonight, Xiahou Wu had invited seven experts in leg techniques to fight him one-on-one, and he had hardly played fair.
In the end, Xiahou Wu had faced four opponents at once and even gained the upper hand. Still, he hadn't escaped entirely unscathed. If Tan Jingyao, Tong Zhengting, and Cao Zi'an had rushed him together, he might not have managed to leave so easily.
But with Yang Chu there to back him up, the situation had been entirely different.
Yang Chu didn't know much about the rules of the martial arts world, but his mind worked quickly now. He could infer a great deal from the smallest clues. Even when he couldn't know the details, he could still make a fairly accurate guess.
Seeing that Yang Chu understood what he meant, Xiahou Wu smiled and nodded. He said no more, instead asking, "Is there anything you want to ask me?"
Though he had never fought Yang Chu, he had some idea of his ability from their last meeting and from the Mongolian Wrestling takedown Yang Chu had demonstrated.
As far as Xiahou Wu was concerned, he was willing to get to know anyone like Yang Chu, who had a strong interest in martial arts. Even without much of a personal connection, he didn't mind spending time with him.
The path of martial arts was growing lonely
