Within the endless seas of Imperial Sky World stood two enormous continents, named Heavenly Saint Continent and Human Saint Continent.
Back in the era before Imperial Sky World was ruled by the Soul Clan, its masters had been the Imperial Sky Twin Saints.
The Twin Saints each ruled one continent. The two continents competed with one another while also cooperating.
Of course, the Twin Saints had long since become a distant part of the past. Even the legends about them had grown vague, causing some young people to doubt whether those tales were real.
In the sea near the two continents lay an isolated island known as Snail Island.
Snail Island was a Soul Clan stronghold, used to refine all kinds of resources from the sea.
This was because the Soul Clan had organized specialized Treasure Hunting Teams in Imperial Sky World to explore the endless ocean in search of treasure.
To put it simply, the Soul Clan had enslaved a group of Imperial Sky World experts and made them scour the seas for resources.
Those resources would then undergo various processes, refinement, and so on at Snail Island.
There were more than a dozen strongholds like Snail Island in Imperial Sky World. Their common trait was that, apart from Soul Clan people and members of the Treasure Hunting Teams, no one else was permitted to enter. Trespassers would be killed without mercy.
By this day, with a large number of Soul Clan experts having been transferred away, Snail Island's defensive force had become quite weak.
