"Boom!"
Before the words had even faded, an explosion erupted beneath Manta Ray's right side.
The combat personnel on the ground holding missile launchers began reloading after hitting the target. Meanwhile, after clearing out the surrounding Honkai Beasts, the others also began attacking the Emperor-class Honkai Beast.
Manta Ray opened the breathing vents on its underside in pain, and a large number of Honkai Beasts crawled out from within. Then it swung its tail fin, the long, whip-like appendage lashing toward the ground with terrifying momentum.
But before it reached the ground, a pitch-black figure flashed out of thin air. Two blue blades ruthlessly pierced into it. Frost and lightning spread along the tail fin, snapping it cleanly in half.
"Roaaar—"
At that instant, everyone else activated their Spatial Fracture systems, dodging the Wind Blades raining down from above as they attacked Manta Ray.
This time, Lin was not fighting alone. This Emperor-class Honkai Beast was also far less troublesome than the Judgment-class Sessha, whether in intelligence and cunning or sheer power.
"Here." Kevin handed the rifle to Kosma. He mimed firing it. "Ever played shooting games at an arcade? Just pull the trigger."
Kosma gripped the rifle in a standard firing stance with practiced ease. "I haven't, but I know how to use it."
"Good. Cover me when needed. Shoot those monsters." Kevin drew his pistol and fixed his eyes on Manta Ray.
Honkai Beasts crawled out of Manta Ray's body. Seeing the two closest targets on the rooftop, they bared their sharp fangs and charged forward with frenzied roars.
"Tap, tap, tap..." Kosma fired without hesitation. The anti-Honkai weapon's bullets made short work of these lower-class Honkai Beasts, shredding their tissue into fragments that scattered in the wind.
"Ammo... huh?" Kosma was about to ask Kevin for ammunition
