The fragmented gossip at the door made Lin glare at Prometheus, who now had a body, with a look of utter misery.
"What is it?" she asked knowingly, tilting her head.
"Change back," Lin said coldly.

Lin did not know whether it was his imagination, but during the time Prometheus had been following him, her personality seemed to have become increasingly... devious.
Looking at that little face, which revealed none of her thoughts at all, Lin figured that if he kept saying things she did not like, the problem soon might not be limited to her adaptive language module.
Lin had guessed that Vill-V might build Prometheus a body, but he had not expected it to happen so suddenly, much less when he was unable to move.
Prometheus pulled over a chair beside her and sat down. With her naturally blank expression, she asked, "Is Lin interested in my body?"
"Not interes—"

The cranial area contains a miniaturized information-processing computer capable of transferring my data and systems. In order to maximize mobility, the joints use ball joints and can rotate three hundred and sixty degrees without blind spots. The eyes use the latest optical visual imaging—"
"Why did you switch to a physical body?" Lin realized that this Artificial Intelligence was becoming less and less willing to follow his commands.
Prometheus stopped her incessant, utterly flat explanation. Her clear crimson eyes flickered once before she replied, "Because Lin needs care during this period."
"I do not need another nurse in my hospital room. I need an Artificial Intelligence that can help me process information."
"I am Artificial Intelligence."
"No, what I
