Actually, by this point, the main storyline of Honkai 1.0 was basically over. The late-stage plot of this book no longer had the early gloominess, and we don't have to watch Kevin clean up the mess anymore (), so what remained was the final story of Old Lin, the protagonist.

The recent slow updates were not only because the ending had been difficult to produce, but also because of the new book. I personally think its setting is quite interesting. Once this volume ends, I'll give a preview at the end. Its overall tone will be closer to the early and middle parts of this book.
