Bumblebee's transformation caused another stir. A super robot that seemed like something out of the future could actually transform—and into a flashy sports car, no less. For high school students in their teens, it was a direct hit.
What nobody knew was that one of them was practically scared shitless: Reed.
That car was actually a robot?
Good thing that Lizard Monster attacked the school today. Otherwise, I'd probably be the one turned into charcoal. No, I wouldn't even need to get shocked. One punch and I'd be a meat pie!
Reed was horrified, yet at the same time a little relieved. His lips trembled faintly, and his face had gone pale.
He had already arranged with someone to steal that car, and today was the day they'd picked. They'd agreed to follow it after school and wait until late at night to make their move. If Lizard had not suddenly attacked, they would have been facing that robot.
"Ring, ring~ Ring, ring~"
Just then, Reed's phone rang.
His hand shaking, he took out his phone and checked the caller. It was Tom Cruise, the very person he'd made the arrangement with.
"Hello..."
Reed swallowed with difficulty, steadied himself, and answered.
"What's going on with you? School should be out by now, right? Did you follow him to his place? I've been sitting in the car for ages!"
