"Damn, we're too late. Bumblebee and Iron Monger are already fighting!"
"Not too late, not too late. At least we can still watch."
A group of players arrived late, panting hard.
"Iron Monger was so powerful, and Bumblebee's completely crushing him? No way! I thought we'd get an explosive showdown!"
"Does anyone else feel like Bumblebee's gotten stronger?"
"Seems that way. Its appearance hasn't changed much, but it's a lot stronger."
"That's not what I mean. It's way more agile. I remember when Bumblebee faced the Lizard-men last time, it wasn't nearly this quick to react. The Lizard-men were leading it around by the nose the whole time. But now, Bumblebee feels like an experienced boxer."
More and more players hurried over. They didn't approach, just watched from twenty or thirty meters away.
Nobody knew who started it, but the players gradually began cheering and shouting encouragement. They'd somehow turned a perfectly good fight into the atmosphere of a live sporting event.
Tony Stark had obviously noticed the players' arrival. He glanced at the cheering crowd, then looked at Pepper Potts beside him. She was staring at Bumblebee with the same tense, focused expression.
"It's just a big robot. I could build one too."
Tony Stark muttered dismissively, but there was a hint of sourness in his voice.
Forget about having the spotlight stolen from him. The crucial thing was that all these people had watched Obadiah beat him senseless, and now they were seeing this robot show off. Wasn't that basically saying that the great Tony Stark was somehow inferior to a little kid?
And if he really were outclassed technologically, he would've accepted it. But these guys were using inferior technology and winning through sheer size. Obadiah had done it, and now this robot was doing it
