The mission in this boss mode only required him to defeat the Iron Monger Armor, but killing its pilot, Obadiah, would earn him extra points.
That was also why the mission hadn't concluded as soon as the Iron Monger Armor was dismantled. It had to wait until Obadiah was either arrested or killed.
There were only two possible reasons the mission had ended so quickly: either Obadiah was dead, or an official force like the police or S.H.I.E.L.D. had arrived.

Bumblebee's sudden voice interrupted Li Si's thoughts.
"Notify Bernie to begin the acquisitions."
Figuring he might as well make use of the free labor, Li Si had also let Bumblebee take over his phone and other devices. Even when he wasn't carrying them, Bumblebee could contact him remotely or operate them.
"No problem, sir!" Bumblebee replied.
"Set the car to autopilot. I'm going to nap."
Li Si nodded, then released the steering wheel and leaned back in his seat, pretending to sleep.
He had barely gotten a good night's sleep in days, not with all the work he'd put into improving Bumblebee's intelligence system. The Stay Up Late Wake Up Early skill let him get up on time, but it couldn't dispel his physical and mental exhaustion.
