At noon, Li Si started preparing lunch.
Today was a day worth celebrating. Peter Parker had finally gotten paid, and he planned to invite Li Si and Max out to celebrate.
But lately, Li Si had been too nervous to go out. Every time he walked down the street, a crowd of people would suddenly appear, look at him in amazement, and say, "You're Lee Stein!" Then they would bombard him with questions.
He didn't have to answer everyone, of course, but to maintain his public image, he still had to smile and nod in response. After one trip outside, his face would be aching from smiling.
To avoid becoming a spectacle at some restaurant, Li Si had decided to show off the culinary talent of a Chinese foodie. He simply invited Peter Parker and Max over to his place instead.

Just as Li Si was finishing up the lunch he'd prepared, someone knocked at the door.

"Open the door, and give him access while you're at it."
Li Si was busy at the dining table with an induction cooker and didn't even turn around as he spoke.
"Welcome, Mr. Max."
With permission granted, Bumblebee opened the security door and offered a greeting.
"Hey, Bumblebee, why didn't you welcome me?"
Before Max could say a word, a strand of web dropped from the eaves outside. Peter Parker hung upside down in midair by the doorway and complained. Then he released the web and landed lightly on his feet.
