The moment the wormhole above Stark Tower opened, countless Chitauri who had long been poised behind it surged out on vehicles resembling hover bikes.
The Chitauri were humanoid as well, but their entire bodies were covered by silvery-white metal armor, making their actual appearances impossible to see.
All Chitauri operated in pairs: one drove the hover bike while the other fired an energy weapon. Although Tony Stark had already taken to the skies to intercept them with all his might, this was no small-scale battle—it was an invasion by a genuine alien fleet.
The destroyed Chitauri combat pairs fell from the sky like dumplings dropped into a pot, but even more of them simply ignored Tony Stark and scattered toward every corner of New York.

Artillery fire, screams, the crashing of collapsing buildings—in an instant, all of New York descended into chaos. Amid countless explosions and bursts of flame, masses of people fled in panic through the streets.
"Captain, have you arrived yet? I need support!"
Tony Stark gritted his teeth, directly dismantling the medium armor on his body and handing control of it to Ultron. He then summoned all the various suits he had accumulated, but they were still a drop in the bucket against the scattered Chitauri forces. All he could do was roar anxiously into the comms.
"Tony, don't panic. We'll be there soon!"
Black Widow Natasha's voice came through the comms.
"An alien fleet is ravaging New York, and you're telling me not to panic?"
Tony Stark roared emotionally as he blasted two hover bikes out of the sky with his palm cannons.
"Tony, as unbelievable as it sounds, we... have an army too."
Natasha hesitated before saying, "If you don't believe me, look below."
"What?"
Tony Stark lowered his head
