"Li, where is this?"
After passing through the rippling, water-like wormhole, Tony Stark found himself in an abandoned city filled with ruins and shattered walls. Li Si stood not far ahead of him.
Everything around them looked bleak and dilapidated. The city was utterly deserted, with no crowds and no lights, as though it were the aftermath of the apocalypse.
"Why not have Ultron look it up?"
Li Si dismantled the Project Armor on his body and stored it in Pandora's Box. Then he smiled as he stared at Tony Stark's face, seemingly anticipating his next reaction.
"Look it up? There's internet here?"
Tony Stark frowned slightly, but he still instructed Ultron to begin cracking the network and retrieving information.
Soon, his expression became increasingly animated.
"Fuck me, this is Earth? The year 2030? Don't tell me that shitty wormhole of yours actually sent us through time!"
"Monsters? Jaegers? The Pan Pacific Defense Corps? What the hell is all this?"
Tony Stark kept rambling on.
"Relax. You can think of this place as a parallel world—a parallel world with a badly skewed tech tree."
Having gotten the show he wanted, Li Si shrugged.
This was the Pacific Rim instance. Calling it a parallel world wasn't wrong, except he had used the privateer permit he bought last time to open the spatial gate, which was why a native like Tony Stark had been able to come along.
