Endless, inexhaustible power!
For humans—or rather, all living creatures—the most primal instincts were survival and reproduction: eating and mating. These were the most fundamental desires and emotions of life. The madness before extinction drove both to their absolute extremes, providing the genes of gluttony and lust with an unceasing supply of emotional fuel.
Anger, fear, and sorrow needed no further mention. Knowing that they themselves were about to die, that their loved ones—even all of humanity—were going to die, drove everyone to the utmost extremes of hatred, terror, and grief, both emotionally and instinctively.
Greed and envy were much the same. Greed was not limited to wealth; it could be greed for knowledge, like Samuel Sterns, greed for life, or greed for power.
Surely no one craved power more than they did at this moment, and no one envied more those creatures who could survive—or even live on in peace and pleasure.
The aliens who could survive, the ancients who had safely lived through thousands or tens of thousands of years, even those who at this very moment had family by their side... destruction drove people mad. Everything became an object of envy. The greater their fear and rage, the more frantically envious they became.
Humanity might lack virtue, but it never lacked emotional desires born of negativity.
And all of it would become the source of power for Lee's current body of the Seven Deadly Sins, erupting forth endlessly, without limit, without cease!
