After all the flashbangs detonated, the enemy unleashed a furious barrage at the blasted-open entrance. Blinded by the flashbangs, the gangsters could only aim their rifles in roughly the right direction and keep pulling the triggers.
At that moment, Zero-One and the others didn't enter the camp through the blasted-open entrance. Instead, they climbed up the protrusions on the outside of the wall.
Every gangster who tried to run up onto the wall was picked off with a headshot by Zero-Eight, who was positioned in the distance. Headless bodies littered the ground beneath the wall!
Click, click, click. The gangsters kept pulling the triggers desperately until they had fired every last bullet. When they pulled the triggers again, all they heard was clicking; no bullets came out.
Zero-One and the others knew the time had come. While the gangsters were changing magazines, they popped up over the wall and picked off every one who showed his head.
"Call the people at our other bases and tell them to come help, now!"
"They're on the wall! Take them out!" The camp filled with a cacophony of shouts.
Just then, a heavy engine rumble suddenly came from the backyard. A Type 7 Tank was slowly driving out, its cannon already aimed at the spot on the wall where they were.
"Everyone, get out of there!" Zero-One shouted, then rolled to the side. The other four team members followed his lead.
Boom! The tank jolted after firing, kicking up a great cloud of dust. A shell shot from its barrel toward the spot where the Black Mask Squad had just been.
With a tremendous blast and a flash of blinding light, a large section of the dilapidated wall was blown away. Zero-One and the others were also knocked down beneath it.
