A newly completed fleet set off for the Ambeta II planetary system, two light-years from Ambeta III, after being loaded with supplies.

However, just after the fleet departed from the Andromeda and attempted to enter Dark Space, they discovered that Dark Space could not be opened at all!

Here, it was as though Dark Space had vanished. Not only could spaceships not jump into Dark Space, even Dark Space communicators could not be used!

Everything Titan Group had achieved was built upon Dark Space.

Only Dark Space allowed Titan Group's ships to exceed the speed of light and reach their destinations. If Dark Space could not be used, it meant they were completely trapped within this planetary system!

Even after acquiring Galaxy Heavy Industries and upgrading their ships' thrusters with new engines capable of reaching eighty percent of light speed, it would still take more than two years to reach Ambeta II, two light-years away!

A round trip would take five years!

At that speed, expanding through Andromeda was out of the question. Even returning to the Milky Way had become impossible.

Left with no choice, the first batch of ships could only return to the Andromeda for refitting.

The refitted fleet would travel to Ambeta II at sublight speed, with everyone placed in hibernation.

The original plan to explore and develop nearby planetary systems was also put entirely on hold. Their new task became building up Ambeta III, where the Andromeda was located.
