It was this black ball of flesh that emitted the light. Countless glowing patterns could be seen across its surface, and the light came from those patterns.

A few seconds later, white light burst from within the black ball of flesh and spread outward like an explosion, continuously devouring the red tissues connected to the ship's shell along the way.

At that moment, the ship's entire outer shell gradually drew together, forming a ring.

When the white light reached the ring, it stopped expanding and remained in its current state.
