On the third day Yun Jingheng had shut himself away, Ye Xinglan came knocking.

She stood at the entrance to Sea God Island with her arms crossed, her golden ponytail tied tight.

Ya Li opened the door for her with a smile, saying Jing Heng was in his room and had not come out for three days.

Ye Xinglan frowned and walked in.

The door to his room was closed.

She knocked twice. No one answered.

She knocked twice more. Still no answer.

She pushed the door open and walked in.

Yun Jingheng sat at the table with a blueprint spread before him, a pen in hand as he sketched something.

Hearing the movement, he did not even raise his head. "I never locked the door."

Ye Xinglan sat beside him and lowered her head to examine the blueprint on the table.

A circle was drawn on it, with a core embedded at its center and densely packed circuits engraved around it.

She could not quite understand the principles behind it.

"What are you designing now?" she asked.

"A Soul Tool that blocks spiritual detection."

Yun Jingheng's pen did not stop. "Aunt Cai always manages to pinpoint exactly where I'm hiding. I need to figure out a way to keep her from finding me."

The corner of Ye Xinglan's mouth twitched. "You shut yourself in for this?"

Yun Jingheng's pen paused. "Not entirely."

He set down the pen and leaned back in his chair. "There are too many new students outside. Aunt Cai said I'm the 'strongest first-year,' and now everyone stares at me wherever I go."

Ye Xinglan smiled. "So what are you planning to do?"

Yun Jingheng thought for a moment. "Wait until school starts. Once classes begin, everyone will have their own lessons and won't keep watching
