The focus of a spiritual-energy-resurgence story is on everyday life and how the resurgence affects the protagonist and the world—what changes after spiritual energy returns, not who's out there fighting.
It's a feeling you need to give your readers.
I emphasize that feeling at the start of almost every spiritual-energy-resurgence story I write.
The strange and fantastical Exotic Beasts from the Classic of Mountains and Seas, along with the Land of Giants, the Ghost Kingdom, the Kingdom of Fire-Eaters, the Shamaness Kingdom... all those places recorded only in legends.
And even the famous figures from history who'll appear in the future...
Just thinking about the kind of chain reaction their existence will cause in the real world gets me so excited I can't sleep.
So, as you all know, even with the word count where it is now,
the real story has barely begun.
And here's the problem...
This book's early numbers are pretty bad.
Don't let its current third-place ranking in fantasy fool you. We're in the Age of Dharma Decline, and even Qi Refining cultivators are mighty figures.
At its current numbers, it probably won't earn enough to support my family once it goes on sale.
