History

Class C emerged as a fear-driven collective under Kakeru Ryuen. Dissenters were marginalized, and the class functioned around Ryuen’s use of intimidation and violence rather than voluntary cooperation. 5

During the first special examination, Ryuen used acquired past papers to ensure that every Class C student passed. The result transformed a previously divided class into one bound by fear, dependence, and recognition of Ryuen’s ability to secure their survival. 10 11

Class C later became involved in the dispute with Class D student Ken Sudo. Its representatives maintained that Sudo had initiated unprovoked violence, while Class D alleged a setup. With no definitive chain of evidence, the Student Council suspended Daichi Ishizaki, Komiya, and Kondo for one week; Sudo received a two-week suspension. 18

On the uninhabited island, Class C publicly appeared to abandon the examination by spending points on leisure supplies and announcing an intended withdrawal. This was a deception intended to mislead rival classes. Ryuen also deployed Mio Ibuki to infiltrate Class D, gather intelligence, and disrupt its internal order. 24 25 The plan ultimately failed to protect the class’s score: Class C finished the exam with zero points. 32

During the VIP Exam, Ryuen responded to the class’s poor position by ordering internal checks of school messages and chat logs. Ibuki’s refusal exposed resistance to his control, while Hiyori Shiina’s limited verification established that Class C held four VIP positions scattered across separate groups, preventing a simple internal identification strategy. 39 40 41

Leadership and Internal Dynamics

Class C’s cohesion is based primarily on Ryuen’s dominance. Its members fear becoming targets of his retaliation, and many comply even when his orders intrude on their privacy or conflict with their interests. 11 39
