After Class D learned how its points and expulsions worked, Hoshida joined a study group to help classmates at risk of failing.

• Subject 07 survived the laboratory’s failed gene-fusion procedure, escaped his pursuers, and chose the name Hoshida No.
• Kushida Kikyo took Hoshida No in, and he later found a home with Kenichi Karuizawa’s family, where he helped Karuizawa Kei recover from bullying and became close to her and Ichinose Honami.
