The Third Hokage and the others shielded themselves from the shockwave. In the distance, a brilliant light erupted, illuminating the night sky in an instant.
"Did Minato teleport the Nine-Tails away?" the Third Hokage murmured, gazing solemnly into the distance. "Come on. Follow me—we're going to back him up."
In the distance, the Nine-Tails glared ahead with murderous eyes and let out a series of low growls. The ground before it was devastated, half of a nearby mountain peak having vanished because of the Tailed Beast Bomb.
Its nine tails thrashed as its gaze swept around, searching for that loathsome figure.

Beside an ancient tree behind the Nine-Tails, Minato Namikaze appeared with Kushina Uzumaki in his arms. Their newborn son, Naruto Uzumaki, was nestled against him.
The instant he had teleported the Nine-Tails away, he hadn't paused for even a moment. He had immediately used the Flying Thunder God Technique to return home and bring his wife and child.
"Kushina, you have to put up a barrier as soon as possible. I'm almost out of chakra." Minato gasped for breath, exhaustion clearly showing on his face.
He had been through too many battles that night. First, he had clashed with Obito Uchiha several times, then teleported away a Tailed Beast Bomb and the Nine-Tails itself, and even briefly fought Shin. He wasn't a chakra reservoir like someone from the Senju Clan, so it was only natural that he was running out of strength.
Kushina was just as exhausted. The Nine-Tails' extraction had inflicted injuries that were difficult to heal. The only reason she was still alive was the Uzumaki Clan's powerful vitality.
"I can hold on a little longer, Minato... As for the rest..." She bit her lower lip, her voice already breaking. She couldn't bring herself to
