The Third had taken charge once more, and for Konoha at this time, it was undoubtedly the best news possible.
With his deep familiarity with the Hokage's duties, he immediately drew up a detailed plan to rebuild the village and made even more thorough arrangements for its defenses, hoping to prevent another Nine-Tails Incident.
Everyone in Konoha threw themselves into rebuilding the village. For them, it was unfamiliar work.
In its early years, Konoha had faced several crises and been rebuilt many times. But that had all happened during the First's time, and the villagers from that era were long gone.
The villagers now had grown accustomed to enjoying everything Konoha had to offer. Even during the Ninja World Wars, the fires of battle had never truly reached the village.
Still, though the work was unfamiliar, the village was rebuilt at remarkable speed with the ninjas' help. The Third worked late into the night every day; there was simply too much for him to handle.
Naruto was temporarily placed in the Third's home, where his wife, Biwako, looked after him. Once Naruto was a little older, they would let him live on his own.
Biwako hadn't died that day; Obito had merely knocked her unconscious.
Ninjas matured very early. According to the Third's calculations, Naruto would probably be able to live independently at around three years old. Of course, that didn't mean they would leave him entirely on his own. They would still have plenty of people watching over him in secret.
At any rate, Konoha was back on track, though the seeds of certain problems had already been sown.

Kushina's dying words remained like a thorn in the Third's heart. Since "Shin" had almost no other plausible interpretation, to him, her words had meant,
