In the void, Otsutsuki Momoshiki's attacks grew more terrifying with each move. As he raised both hands, the already pitch-black void seemed to darken further. Astonishing changes arose all around them, as though countless invisible Yin-Yang Release blades had appeared in space, madly shredding toward Shin.
"Am I a target for you to show off your ninjutsu on?!" Shin shouted angrily. His Rinnegan shifted slightly to either side, and the Truth-Seeking Orbs behind him swiftly moved, leaving afterimages as they wrapped around him. The constant clang of weapons colliding rang out.
"One!"
After evading a string of attacks, Shin loudly called out the final number. He had already made up his mind: if the Sage of Six Paths brothers still showed no reaction, he would absolutely abandon Momoshiki and turn to flee.
Why should the safety of the Main World rest on him alone? He was supposed to be the big Boss villain, yet here he was risking his life to protect the world. No matter how he thought about it, he felt stifled.
But that was not even the key issue. If this world truly depended on him alone to protect it, he might really have used his trump cards and fought with everything he had. But there were clearly two people waiting in the back to reap the benefits. He could hardly be blamed for walking away.
The Main World was right there anyway. Let Momoshiki destroy it and see who lost their nerve first.
That was absolutely Shin's truest thought at that moment. The only reason he had given them a count of three was to leave some room for compromise. If the Sage of Six Paths brothers chose to act, he would not mind lending a hand to kill Momoshiki here.
