The kunai pierced his body without resistance, yet there was no sensation of striking solid flesh, nor did any blood spill out. Instead, clear water flowed down the kunai.

At that same moment, Kisame appeared behind Orochimaru. Samehada swept out horizontally in an instant, severing Orochimaru at the waist as blood sprayed everywhere.
"Looks like between snakes and sharks, sharks are still stronger," Kisame said with a light laugh.
"Is that so?" Orochimaru, already split into two halves, replied softly. He glanced behind him as his body abruptly changed. The two halves transformed into two separate white snakes and instantly coiled around Kisame. They were so fast that Kisame's arms and body were tightly bound, and the more he struggled, the tighter they constricted.
"Before you've truly won, don't jump to conclusions. Didn't Kirigakure teach you that?" Orochimaru's sinister voice sounded behind Kisame again. His kunai stabbed down exactly as before, a mocking smile curling his lips.

The kunai never landed. Another figure entered the battle, and Uchiha Itachi kicked Orochimaru away, landing beside Kisame.
"What the hell?" Kisame complained as he broke free of the white snakes binding him. "Itachi, don't jump in out of nowhere, all right? I could've handled this much by myself."
Uchiha Itachi calmly replied, "Sorry, but things have changed. Look around yourself."
"Hm?" Kisame frowned and looked around. The surroundings were still a dim forest, no different from before. But after a moment, his gaze sharpened and a smile appeared on his face. "My, my. Being on someone else's turf really does leave you tied up. How unpleasant."
