Tsunade gazed out the window, lost in thought. After a moment, she said, "No. You will come with me to meet the enemy. I'll summon Katsuyu and scatter her throughout the village to treat the wounded. Have all the major clans and the Jonin mobilize to eliminate the enemy."

"Yes!" The ninjas in the Hokage's office accepted the order eagerly.

In Konoha, the Deva Path calmly looked at the ninja before him. Blood continuously dripped from the black chakra rod as he asked in a deep voice, "All right. Can you tell me where the Nine-Tails is now?"

Iruka looked at his fallen companions, his face twisted with fury. "I have nothing to say to someone like you."

"Is that so?" the Deva Path said calmly, unsurprised. Along the way, he had encountered countless ninjas like this. Raising the chakra rod, he said, "Then you can die."

The chakra rod stabbed down. Iruka's pupils constricted, and he seemed to have resigned himself to his fate.

"Kakashi?" Iruka cried out, his voice filled with surprise and the relief of surviving a disaster.

"Yeah, Iruka. Get the wounded out of here. This isn't a battle you can interfere in," Kakashi said quietly, his eyes never leaving the Deva Path.

Iruka said nothing more. He hoisted up the companion beside him and quickly left. He knew that with his strength as a Chunin, staying here would only make him a burden to Kakashi.

The Deva Path did not stop him, nor was there any need to. His emotionless Rinnegan stared at Kakashi.
