"What did you want to talk about?" Daruda asked in a deep voice. His gaze swept around him; every Kumogakure ninja was lying on the ground, unable to rise. He let out an inward sigh. They had been utterly defeated this time. No matter what demands the other side made, he could only agree.
To ransom these three thousand ninja, Kumogakure itself would likely have to pay a painful price. If they all fell into Konoha's hands, the consequences...
Thinking of the various unreasonable demands Konoha's higher-ups might make over this, Daruda shuddered involuntarily.
"I never expected Konoha to have a perfect Jinchuriki like you besides Killer B. If we'd had intelligence beforehand, we never would have acted so rashly." He gritted his teeth in regret. Unfortunately, it was already too late.
Naruto smiled at him. "You mean Uncle B? He taught me a lot. Without him, I probably wouldn't have been able to form a bond with Kurama."
"What?" Daruda's eyes widened sharply, and he blurted out, "Killer B taught you the method of controlling a Tailed Beast?"
"Mm-hmm, that's right. If you go back to Kumogakure, give Uncle B my regards for me." Naruto nodded with a smile, utterly guileless.
The Nine-Tails inside him opened its eyes and sneered. "That fool. If he says that, the Eight-Tails brat is going to be in trouble... But what does that have to do with me?"
Naruto had once shared his memories with it, so it naturally knew what Killer B supposedly teaching him meant. But clearly, what Daruda had in mind was anything but the truth.
"Alright, now I'll state my demand. Withdraw immediately and return to Kumogakure, and I'll pretend none of this ever happened." The smile faded from Naruto's face as he spoke seriously.
"What?" Daruda was stunned
