"Live well, Lord Zabuza." A faint smile appeared on Haku's lips. His small hands suddenly tightened, pulling Zabuza's hand and driving it toward his own throat.
However... the kunai did not move an inch.
"Lord Zabuza?" Haku cried out in surprise.
Zabuza slowly pulled his hand away. A trace of relief showed in his eyes as he looked at Haku. Then he suddenly said in a low voice, "Haku... enough. You are not a tool. You never were. My life has been filled with sin; making it this far is already a blessing from heaven. But you are different, Haku. You still have a long life ahead of you."
"Lord Zabuza!" Haku called out again, but there was something different in his tone.
Zabuza smiled. Even with his face covered in white bandages, it was obvious that the smile came from the bottom of his heart. Even he had forgotten how many years it had been since he had smiled like this.
"You know, Haku, the village in the Bloody Mist had nothing but darkness. My life as a shinobi was the same. But on that snowy night, I saw light. I didn't save you—you saved me."
As he spoke softly, Zabuza's gaze suddenly sharpened. Before anyone could react, he turned the kunai toward his own throat and thrust it down in an instant.
"Don't!" Haku cried out, but it was clearly too late to stop him.
The kunai stopped an inch from Zabuza's throat. A hand had caught it, and no matter how much strength he used, that hand did not budge.
Zabuza turned his head slightly and looked at the golden chakra cloak. "What do you want now? Are you going to keep humiliating us?"
Naruto flashed a bright smile. "No. I just think it'd be too much
