"Someone from the Uchiha Clan?" Deidara raised an eyebrow as he looked at Itachi, who had blocked his path.
The Sharingan's distinctive features were far too obvious; being recognized at a glance was only natural. However, Deidara felt no fear whatsoever.
At this point, he was still the kind of genius who had never suffered a setback. The most typical trait of such people was their utter arrogance.
To sum it up in one sentence: I'm not targeting any of you in particular—I'm saying everyone except me is an idiot.
The instant their eyes met, there was no further nonsense. Both moved at the same time.
"Die, you pest!" Deidara shouted softly. As he raised his right hand, several small birds were already flying toward Itachi, their agile movements seeming almost alive.
"Art is an explosion—Detonate!"
Deidara's gaze sharpened as he formed a one-handed seal. With a thunderous roar, the clay exploded continuously, powerful shockwaves sweeping outward as though hundreds of pounds of high explosives had detonated at once.
A figure leaped high out of the smoke and dust. The Three Tomoe Sharingan shifted slightly as Itachi thought, Mixing chakra into clay to trigger explosions... this should be a form of Explosion Release from Iwagakure.
"Tch, you dodged fast enough." Deidara snorted and removed the conical hat from his head. The mouth in his other hand opened, and the white bird landed and transformed into a giant bird three meters tall. He leaped onto its back in a single step.
He had dared to swagger into Konoha not merely because he was hotheaded. His greatest advantage was his ability to fly. As long as Konoha had no ninja capable of flight as well, he was inherently invincible.
The white bird spread its wings and carried Deidara soaring into the sky.
