Seeing several of their companions collapse and dissolve, the remaining monsters seemed frightened despite having no eyes, letting out mournful cries.

Before Naruto and the others could figure out what was happening, hundreds of monsters turned and fled, vanishing without a trace.

Kakashi pushed up his forehead protector, revealing his Three Tomoe Sharingan, then walked over and crouched beside the dissolved monsters.

Only blackened marks remained on the ground; nothing else had been left behind. He took out a Kunai and tested it, finding that the marks seemed like patterns imprinted onto the rocky ground.

"What strange creatures," Kakashi murmured. Even now, he had no clue what they were.

Shikamaru sighed. "I don't know why, but I'm suddenly regretting taking this mission. It feels like danger is waiting at every step. Luckily Naruto is here, so I can feel a little more at ease."

Naruto looked ahead. "We need to move quickly. Kakashi-sensei, can this really lead into the moon?"

Kakashi nodded. "If the intelligence is correct, then this is indeed the place. But it didn't mention these strange dark creatures. I suggest we proceed carefully."

Naruto clenched his fist. "There's no time for that. Stay close to me—we'll break through to the end in one go."

As he spoke, his golden chakra shifted, forming three enormous hands that directly grabbed the three of them.

"Wait... Naruto!" Kakashi called out, but Naruto clearly did not listen. He transformed into a streak of golden light and shot into the distance.

The dark passage stretched endlessly, with countless dangers hidden within its pure darkness.
