Under normal circumstances, the Giant Tenseigan could not be absorbed after being split apart.
But Black Zetsu used a different method. Kaguya's chakra remained within him; though scarce, it was still the original source of chakra.
After breaking down the Giant Tenseigan, he could turn these Byakugan into the purest chakra energy for absorption.
If he could absorb it completely, Black Zetsu himself would cross the threshold into the Six Paths Level. Then he could gather the nine Tailed Beasts and release Kaguya himself—why would he need to keep scheming in the shadows?
However, the drawback of doing this was that this pure chakra energy was not something only he could absorb. Obito, standing nearby, or any other ninja could absorb it before the chakra dispersed.
"Damn it... Let go of the Tenseigan!"
With an angry roar, Otsutsuki Toneri charged straight at them. His earlier attack had already collapsed the shrine, leaving this place completely exposed to the open air.
Green chakra condensed, and a beam of chakra light swept toward Obito and Black Zetsu, forcing them to dodge in a hurry.
At the very least, neither of them was anywhere close to being Otsutsuki Toneri's match right now.
But they did not need to act. Naruto Uzumaki quickly followed, and after a brief clash with Toneri, the two had already exchanged an unknown number of blows in an instant.
"Get out of my way!" Otsutsuki Toneri roared furiously. The Tenseigan's chakra erupted without restraint, briefly forcing Naruto back.
The Giant Tenseigan within the moon was something that absolutely could not be allowed to have any problems. Yet someone had silently infiltrated the place. That alone would have been bad enough, but the Tenseigan itself had even been dismantled and turned into chakra for others to absorb.
This was utterly
