Taking Hinata with him, Naruto Uzumaki followed Asura toward the city where the Shinobi Sect was located.
The two moved at incredible speed, reaching the Shinobi Sect in just half a day of rapid travel.
This was the city founded long ago by the Sage of Six Paths. Even by the standards of this era, it could be called magnificent.
When Asura had become the Shinobi Sect's heir, this city had naturally passed into his hands as well. As for Indra, despite fighting several battles with him, he had never gained the upper hand or seized the Shinobi Sect's foundation.
After landing, Asura smiled. "Naruto, come with me. There's someone you'll want to see."
As they walked through the ancient main hall, Naruto turned to glance at him. Before he could speak, a figure rushed over.
"Naruto, you really came to this era too!" At the sound of that voice, both Naruto and Hinata jolted, disbelief written across their faces.
"Kakashi-sensei...?" Naruto cried out. The familiar clothes, the familiar mask, and the Konoha forehead protector—standing before them was none other than Hatake Kakashi.
"Hinata... Naruto..." Another voice rang out at the same time. A young woman rushed out after Kakashi, and the instant she saw Naruto, tears of excitement welled up in her eyes.
"Ino, you're here too? That's great!" Naruto said happily. The moment he saw Ino Yamanaka, the weight in his heart finally lifted. The four who had traveled through time were reunited at last; all that remained was finding a way back.
Asura smiled from the side. "A few days ago, Mr. Kakashi suddenly appeared inside the Shinobi Sect. He gave quite a few of us a fright. We only understood what had happened after he explained it. Don't worry, I'll help you return to the future."
