"How laughable, hearing words like that from people like you," Sasuke sneered.

Deidara calmly slipped both hands into his clay pouches. "You sure talk a lot. If you want Danzo's whereabouts, go find them yourself. I have nothing to tell the likes of you."

The members of Akatsuki might have had different personalities and different goals, but they each had their own principles.

Call it pride, call it whatever you wanted—they had no desire to betray their comrades.

Of course, that was assuming they acknowledged you as a comrade in the first place.

Just like in the original story, no Akatsuki member had ever revealed another member's hideout. The only exception was Sasori revealing Orochimaru's location, and that was because Orochimaru had already defected from Akatsuki.

A dead tree appeared amid the explosion. Deidara snorted. "A Substitution Technique? You're pretty lucky."

Behind Deidara, a six-pointed star pattern appeared in Sasuke's eyes, and pitch-black Amaterasu flames ignited directly over Deidara's body.

But Deidara's reaction was equally sharp and swift. Almost the instant Sasuke appeared, he spun around. A spark appeared on his Akatsuki cloak and spread rapidly.

"What is this?" It was Deidara's first encounter with a Mangekyo ability like Amaterasu, and his heart skipped a beat. He immediately flung off his Akatsuki cloak. Within seconds, the entire garment had turned to ash, while the black flames continued to spread.
