"Heh, you really did take it in stride." Shin glanced at Kizaru, a trace of approval in his eyes. Such an outlook on life carried a measure of helplessness, yet it also had its own conviction.
Always striving toward the least bad outcome was probably Kizaru's attitude toward life.
"Take it in stride? I wouldn't say that." Kizaru gave a bitter smile. "In the end, it's just helplessness toward this world. No matter how strong one's power is, it's still impossible to change the order of this world. But thankfully, people can still go on living in this world, so I'll do my best to preserve it... at least, things haven't reached their worst point yet."
"Come to think of it, you still haven't answered whether you'll join the Marines. With your strength, perhaps joining the Marines would allow you to change this world."
