"Hm, who are you?" Seeing the three girls before him, Shin's gaze narrowed slightly. Then, as if he had remembered something, a faint smile appeared on his face.
"Ah, I'm here to save you." Shin nodded in acknowledgment. A glimmer appeared in the depths of his eyes, and the truth of the world flashed before him.
Through Hancock, he could clearly see strands of karmic threads. In less than a second, he had fully understood the entire chain of events that had led the three sisters here.
All things in the world were bound by a single thought. This was the Way of Heaven.
Though he was not this world's original consciousness, Shin, as Dark Gaia, could still investigate all manner of karmic threads.
With a snap of his fingers, the chains binding Hancock and her sisters broke at the same time. Three hazy clusters of starlight appeared in Shin's hand, and the instant they landed on the three girls, their injuries were healed.
Witnessing this miraculous sight, the three sisters widened their eyes and stared at Shin in disbelief, unable to say a word.
"Come with me."
Shin turned and headed outside, and Hancock and her sisters hurried after him.
"Wait for us."
At this point, they did not know who Shin was, nor did they even know his name. But in this environment, Shin was undoubtedly their only lifeline.
Once they left the slave camp, all of Mary Geoise had already been engulfed in flames. Roaring earthquakes, accompanied by violent winds and hail, swept across the holy city as though divine punishment had descended from the gods.
