"Beelzebub!"
The shout had not come from Lucifer, but from Abaddon, Beelzebub's closest friend!
This powerhouse, known as the "King of Plagues" and the "Dark Angel of Death," had once stood on equal footing with Lucifer back on Mount Celestia.
The moment he sensed that even Beelzebub's origin within the Hall of Ten Thousand Demons had vanished, he went mad, roaring as he charged at Shin.
With a wave of both hands, the power of darkness surged forth like a vortex and enveloped Shin. He wanted Shin to die in the most agonizing way possible, to avenge his friend.
The Apocalypse once described this Demon King in this manner.
The fifth angel sounded his trumpet. A great star fell from the heavens into a bottomless abyss. At once, thick smoke rose from the depths, blotting out the sky and dimming the heavens.
It was as though a great furnace had been lit. Locust-like creatures flew out in every direction from the smoke. They did not harm plants, but attacked those whose foreheads had not been marked by god. These locusts resembled warhorses prepared for battle, with men's faces, women's long hair, and lions' teeth.
Iron armor covered their chests, and their wings roared like the charge of countless troops and horses. These locusts wounded people without allowing them to die immediately, making them suffer as though stung by scorpions, tormenting them for five or six months before they perished.
In the Endless Abyss was a king who commanded the locusts—Abaddon!
There were other legends about this demon as well. Some even claimed that he had been the first angel created by god, Lucifer's predecessor.
Shin naturally had no interest in these half-true, half-false legends. He merely wanted to teach these people a lesson.
With a sweep of his sword, he
