Everyone waited... waited for the broadcast's final message to sound.
But they kept waiting... and waiting... Yet no matter how long they waited, the broadcast never sounded again.
"So they stopped when they attacked the last card."
Richard muttered quietly.
Then he opened the door and stepped aside to make way for them. "Well? What did you two come to see me for at a time like this? Did you want to challenge me to a duel?"
"...I did not come here to challenge you to a duel in the first place." Yusaku Kudo replied calmly, without sacrificing courtesy.
The blond fat man, who had been walking back into the room, froze for a moment. Then he casually grabbed some snacks from the table and began eating. "I see. Then what is it that you want?"
Yusaku Kudo looked over every arrangement in the room. After a moment, he said, "Originally... I came here hoping to join forces with you. But Mr. Aizen's sudden move has made the situation much clearer. So now, I have come here with no selfish motives at all, purely as a visitor dropping by. I hope we can have a chat."
Richard's face twisted as he stared at Yusaku Kudo with utter disbelief.
After thinking for a moment, he ultimately let Yusaku Kudo and Yukiko Kudo sit down.
"You really are a strange one."
The blond fat man picked up two cups from the table, then casually took the box of tea bags beside them. Finding it empty, he went over to the cupboard, opened it, and took out a new box of tea bags. He brewed them with hot water and poured tea for Yusaku Kudo and Yukiko Kudo.
"Here, drink. I have nothing much to offer."
He poured himself a cup as well.
