"It's not too late to stop now. Otherwise, just wait for your family to be destroyed and your people to be driven from their homes," Harinod said with a smile.
"Is there anything else you want to say?" the city lord asked, looking at Harinod.
Though Harinod appeared calm on the surface, he was extremely nervous inside. He knew that no matter how he explained himself, there was no way to salvage the situation.
Harinod had known that this journey would not be smooth sailing and that he would certainly encounter all sorts of problems.
Harinod closed his eyes, resigned to his fate.
"I've already said everything I wanted to say. For the rest, I only hope you'll conduct yourself wisely," Harinod said.
"Guards!" the city lord shouted.
Harinod knew that his fate was about to end here.
"City Lord!" Two guards entered from outside at that moment.
"There's someone outside who wants to see you!" a guard said.
"Who would be looking for me at a time like this?" the city lord asked.
"I don't know, but he says he came from Eternal Sun Royal City!" the guard replied.
The city lord looked at Harinod in confusion. "Exactly how many of you came?"
Harinod had no idea what was happening either, because he had indeed come alone.
Moreover, Harinod felt that since they had already sent him here, they could not possibly send another person to the same place.
"And that person says that, regarding the war that is about to begin, he has an idea for peace that he wants to discuss with you," the guard said.
Harinod was even more puzzled when he heard this.
Why did this newcomer have exactly the same purpose as him? Harinod had never heard that another person had been sent here.
