Subhuti looked at the people around him and dismissed them, leaving only Uchiha Shin behind.
"Are you planning to help the Buddhist sect?" Subhuti asked.
Uchiha Shin shook his head.
"Then why do you still wish to go? Do you not know your own identity? If the Buddhist sect decides to keep you, do you have a way to leave?"
"Master, the ones who should be worried about this now are Lord Lao and the others, not you," Uchiha Shin said. "Even if you do nothing, they would never allow the Buddhist sect to forcibly keep your disciple. The Deva Path has already weakened, Lord Lao's Deva Path Heart has been affected, and even the trajectory of Chaos is changing. Though the Daoist sect may struggle amongst themselves, they will never allow the Buddhist sect to profit."
"Besides, we were bound to meet sooner or later. If I remain here with you forever, sheltered by you, then what would be the point of cultivating immortality?"
Subhuti fell silent for a moment. "Are you truly certain?"
Uchiha Shin looked at Subhuti. He knew what his master was worried about.
"Master, a teacher for a day is a father for life. Since I, Uchiha Shin, have taken you as my master, I will never betray you in this lifetime. Please rest assured." Uchiha Shin spoke with complete sincerity.
Subhuti was slightly stunned. He had not expected this boy to see through to what he was truly worried about.
He feared that the boy would go to the Buddhist sect and abandon the Dao to cultivate Buddhism.
In the end, Subhuti agreed.
Uchiha Shin was delighted, but another doubt arose in his heart.
He felt that his master did not seem to be truly opposed to Lord Lao. Their relationship was difficult to
