Uchiha Shin: "What does that have to do with the current situation?"
"Is the Spirit Demon Clan refusing to save the Undying Clan because of that?"
Uchiha Shin still had his doubts. This was, after all, a matter between disciples of two clans; it should not have escalated into hostility between the entire clans.
The old clan head shook his head. "Of course not. If that were the only reason, the Spirit Demon King would not have stopped them."
"Do you know that the male disciple from our clan and the female disciple from the Spirit Demon Clan left behind a descendant?"
Uchiha Shin was startled. There was actually a descendant!
"Could that descendant be..." Uchiha Shin did not finish. He found it unbelievable.
"It is Honghong," the old clan head said. "Previously, I did not know that Honghong was their descendant. But now that you say she can draw the Firmament Bow and even repair it, she must be that disciple's descendant."
Uchiha Shin said, "Since Honghong is the descendant of those two disciples, why would the Spirit Demon Clan still choose her as the future Demon King's successor?"
"Perhaps it is because this girl has something special about her. The Spirit Demon Clan does not choose its successors casually; there are certain criteria for it. Perhaps Honghong meets those criteria," the old clan head said after some thought.
"Generally speaking, for someone of our Undying Clan to possess chaotic energy, they must have pure Undying Clan blood. Yet Honghong is the descendant of a union between us and an outside clan, and she still possesses chaotic energy and the bloodline of the Undying Clan. It is truly astonishing. The chances of this are incredibly slim—one in ten thousand, perhaps."
A look of amazement appeared in the old clan
