After an unknown amount of time, Uchiha Shin slowly opened his eyes, his head feeling a little fuzzy.
He looked around and found himself in a cave. The cave was bitterly cold; even lying on the ground made his body shiver.
He tried to get up, only to discover that someone had immobilized him. He could not move at all and could only speak.
"Is anyone there? Who brought me here?" Uchiha Shin shouted.
Then he saw one black figure and one white figure walk in. At first glance, he thought they were Black and White Impermanence, but they were actually black and white bull demons.
The two looked much alike, both with bull horns, bovine hair on their faces, and coarse cloth garments. They walked up to Uchiha Shin.
"Black Bull, this kid has such tender skin and soft flesh. How do you think we should eat him?" White Bull said.
"Deep-frying him would be best."
White Bull shook his head. "I think eating him raw would be best."
The two bull demons stood before Uchiha Shin, looking at him as though he were food.
Uchiha Shin found this strange. He glanced around, then his heart jolted in alarm when he saw countless bones scattered throughout the cave—human bones, and quite a lot of them.
"Why do you want to eat me?" Uchiha Shin asked.
Black Bull squatted down and looked at Uchiha Shin. "Because eating you will let us live forever."
Live forever? Do you think I'm Tang Monk?
"Who told you that eating me would make you immortal? I'm just an ordinary person," Uchiha Shin said.
"The great god said you're no ordinary person. You can influence the Deva Path. Since you're so extraordinary, eating you will surely make us extraordinary too. Immortality will be easy then,"
